Creation Kit Trouble, Red Lighting Globes

For some reason in the CK, some of the 'lighting globes' i have placed around my mod sometimes at certain angles turn red and the light they were producing disapears? This causes lighting to start flickering on and off in game when looking in the direction of the light source at the certain angle and now for reason in the CK, most of the 'lighting globes' i have placed in my house mod have turned red and wont come back on regardless of the angle?

have i accidentaly changed something in the CK that has caused this? or is there a specific setting i need to use?

Thnks for any help!

I'm not sure if this will help, but right click in the grey void (or optionally go to File > Preferences), and select "Render Window Properties". go to the "Shaders" tab and make sure the "Shadows" check box has a check mark in it.

For a while I couldn't even get shadows to display in the CK.

You might also have to restart the CK for the changes to be made, so hit "apply">"Ok", exit, and then restart it.

Hope this helps!

lights which produce shadows can only be used sparingly. if there is more than 4 or so in the same room, severe performance drains can be expected., to prevent this, the Ck only allows a max of 4 or so.

lights which produce shadows have a purple "cross" in the centre.

switch some for those which don't produce shadows, they are usually marked in the CK with NS in their name.

same problem, its lit in the CK but when i goto a game test its not lit, i have all the sections roomed off correctly with portals on doors. no more than 1 shadow light to a room section. dunno about 4 shadow lights to a room, maybe its 4 to the whole map and 4 normal to a room because when i have a few lights in 1 room all visible some stop working till i go close then they pop on

dunno why i roomed off anyway, its supposed to optimise the map but before rooms its 30fps and after rooming off its still 30fps. the map isnt even that complex, and doesnt take up half the memory some of the bathesda ones
