danatoth666
So I am following the tutorial for making quests and I did a little recording of the dialogue so that it gives you time to read the text. When I play this in game however, the voice file doesn't play and it instantly goes to the next part of the dialogue... Anyone know what's going on? huntsman2310
You didn't record a temp sound. A temp sound is effectively a recording of nothing, which needs to be put into place so that the text will stay on screen for longer then a millisecond. It makes sense. Sort of. danatoth666
I didn't record a temp sound I actually recorded myself reading the dialogue, it just doesn't work in game...I can play the file in the CK and hear myself, but when I load up Skyrim it doesn't play anything... huntsman2310
Hmm. I'm not sure man. I'm actually just starting on quest dialogue as well, so I don't know much about it. Have you posted this on the Creation Kit forum over at Bethesda?

Have you posted this on the Creation Kit forum over at Bethesda? I've been doing this as well, and for me the snippets do actually appear ingame - I'm actually pretty impressed at how natural the lip movements seem, for being autogenerated. Not sure what could get in the way, though... I'll let you know if I notice it happening myself.

Noobo
Same problem, tried beth forums, no repliesRe-recording does nothing either The only workaround for me was to create a new esp =(They should have allowed importing of sounds like oblivion CK
gaptrixie
I just wish you didn't need to do the empty sound workaround to get proper dialogue on screen. It feels so hacky.
