Nathandor
Okay guys so I'm building myself a PC and I'm looking for something that will run Skyrim and BF3 on High Quality lagless. Is the motherboard I want compatible with the graphics card I'm thinking about getting? Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD5 Intel Z68 (REV B3) Graphics Card: XFX Radeon HD 6950 Graphics card - 2 GB Also do you think this graphics card and Motherboard would run the games lagless? I'm also getting an i5-2500k Processor and 8gb of RAM.
hoofhearted4
motherboard has absolutely nothing to do with how a game plays. the only thing it will affect is what hardware you can use and how well you can OC. and to answer your question, you will have no issue playing Skyrim as (contrary to people beliefs) it doesnt take much to play that game. BF3 does take some power, and with a 6950 you should be able to play it on High settings no problem. and needless to say, your GPU and Mobo are compatible. Vecna6667
Your choice of hardware should have no problem running Skyim as it practically crushes the recommended requirements. The only thing the motherboard determines is the CPU and that is based on the socket. Battlefield 3 is a different matter all together, but at high settings, it should be fine.
