LOL and people were wondering if steam workshop was going to be the death of nexus.

Those comments are both hilarious and sad.

OMG RUN FOR THE HILLS ITS A NIPPLE!!!!

I wish I cared enough to log in/register, id say 'I heard that people have those, take a look next time you take a shower'. Id rather say take a look at your gf/wife, but I doubt anyone scared of a nip has one of those. ;)

I guess no 'adult' mods allowed there? No body mods, skimpy clothes, ect? Epic fail.

Stick around, you'll find humor and sadness here too.

I had a feeling that the Steam Workshop was going to be to good to be true. There is no way modding a game is a simple as that; though i do like the concept of creators trying to make it easier for people to mod their games. I don't under stand why it just doesn't download the file manually and put it in your data file; or at least have the option. Not only that but the Nexsus MM is pretty easy already and does a lot of the same things that SW does; the only main difference it that you need to compress some files first, but hey 7z is free. If i did put up any mods it would be for exposer, but would still post it up on Nexus.

From what i heard the reason why sometimes it doesn't download stuff is because it has a subscription cap which is 50. I think another reason why is because instead of just making the mods plugins, it turns them ALL into ESP's and sometimes both ESP & BSA. Another reason why they don't work is because unlike Oblivion, who was less plugin friendly and like BSA's and ESP"s better, Skyrim is the exact opposite; and for most mods you don't really need a ESP.

I did read some where that if you re-set the game cache it fixes the problem. I have tried it but it only got 1/3 of the mods downloaded that i had selected.

It really sucks cause there are some mods on there that look really cool but i can't download them and aren't on Nexsus.

P.S. What does CTD stand for

and I looked at the pictures and i love how there's really only one that is kinda noticeable. I mean it's a "M" game; tits's BAD, blood and violence OK.....AMERICA! I guess there had to be a Janet Jackson of SW.

"Crash To Desktop"

I've heard people criticizing the Nexus for having nude/adult mods and how the community here is a bunch of perverts because of it.

And what do the fine, upstanding, community members using the Steam Workshop focus on in a hair mod? A semi-visible nipple in one of the example pics... of Khajiiti female to boot! http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/tongue.gif

Not wanting to upset you by playing Devil's Advocate here, but...why have you taken pictures of your char nude for a hair mod?

I've set your file to "adult only" because it has nude pics in it. If you remove the nude pics, feel free to take the adult only filter off!

Fair complaint as I said I simply forgot it, was using an mod with an modified mythic dawn robe.

It add some bulk to character and I wanted to see if it was clipping or more probably unnecessary spacing without.

Will probably update it as I will do an version with changes to the earrings to better support my Khajiit earring mod.

Well, today is a perfect example of why the Steam workshop is a joke. I have well over 100 mods here from the Nexus which all work perfectly. I only have 4 from the workshop and only because they are exclusive to their site. Steam has had no connection for quite a while today so guess what? You can't use your mods. What a surprise that Steam is hosting an incredible mess. Skyrim Nexus still has no competition and from what I have seen from Steam they never will.

Steam Workshop is for simple people. You know, those that get asked to turn it off and on again, then if they have plugged it in.

The only ones exclusively off Steam Workshop that interest me are Thundersnow Manor, Lake View Manor, Half-Moon 1.4 and Winterhold rebuild, but since adding any extra buildings anywhere in Skyrim always results in CTDs walking out of Riverwood (why there, don't know) for me I'm waiting for the bugs to be ironed out. I've got 14 installed and adding any one of 5 others causes CTDs, but which ones they conflict with I don't know. If it was just one it could be tracked down, might even be a conflict with something installed many weeks before. Sorry going off topic..... but I do wonder what quality control Steam Workshop operates as well. Here there are distinct do's and don'ts.

Trees of Whiterun is my current favorite! Can't find it here...

It's possibly a problem with the CK if you go by the rather long list of bugs on the Bethesda forum that causes the CTDs and screen freezes, so until that is fixed I'm not going to try adding any others to maintain the working game I have right now, in fact I have even removed most now I have found 4 of what I really want that work together, the rest can wait.
