Vault 111 as a home?

Seems like a strange request, but would it not be an awesome idea to be able to setup a workshop within Vault 111 and be able to remove all the sleeping pods inside? I know I would love to be able to do that, not just having vault 88 as a home but 111, where it all started as a home. Anyone else think this would be a good idea? Has it already been requested before? If so please feel free to delete this post. I probably should have checked the forums first.

its not strange at all hehe

It's one of my favorite locales,

lore and methodology follows

 

 

and I've made "Sanctuary" into a Maxson-LostHills-esque BoS superbunker.

It makes a lot more sense for the BoS to establish itself there

in addition to boston airport or the National Guard training yard.

 

I made a freight elevator/"mobile helipad" from Red Rocket, adjoin to a sub-basement,

and on to the under-Red-Rocket cavern or under sanctuary, and out the large pipes near the bridge at sanctuary,

then under the round and on to the Sanctuary Basement Private Bunker,

and on to the outer-perimeter of V111.

 

connecting Red Rocket Spa and Resort North Concord to the Under-Sanctuary, to V111 interior to V111 proper...

V111 and V112 have a lot in common.

Two words; Stanislaus. Braun.

 

 

 

There are quite a few different V111 settlement mods,

though Mod Id # 15042 is probably the best as yet that I've come across.

 

some further advise and caution when making your own V111 follows.

 

 

indeed there is a great mod that works for Vault111;

Mod Id # 15042. very stable, excellent work really.

there's another mod which adds "Vault 111b", it's not yet interoperable with

Mod Id #15042 though...

 

a word of warning though, having learned by mistake hehe.

to modify the Vault further, do not,

repeat, do not,

just use the scrap everything etc.

V111 has to be carefully deleted and recombined after you complete the main quest hehe.

your game will otherwise break 5 different ways if you just

delete the terminals and pods.

 

that thread also contains ways you can have pre-vis of a door-portal into there,

so you could have say, a massive elevator in the roundabout of Sanctuary,

which houses an elevator down into part of the vault say...

(Think TB1's secret pool launching pad hehe)

 

Apart from that, have fun modding V111!

use Any Door to Anywhere,

Greekrages" "secret entrances" etc,

elevators and new lands mods.

you'll probably also want the "roadway secret elevator" and roads parts packs,

FO3 and FONV esque spillways and carparks etc.
