KurganSPK
I currently have an SE build going with more than 300 mods that looks pretty stunning, as I use a bunch of texture mods and an ENB, etc. I use Noble Skyrim for most textures and SMIM. Everything looks great with one exception. I get purple lanterns in Riften and they are of a different design than the rest around skyrim, they have a curved, more modern looking mesh rather than a square one. I don't know where the new lantern mesh came from. The laterns in question are the ones hanging from buildings and posts in Riften. I also have Lanterns of Skyrim - I've reinstalled them and looked at the overwrite messages closely and nothing refers to anything that could be a lantern. thumbincubation
Go up to one, in game, point your crosshairs at it, open console and use the console pointer to target it. See what prefix the number has. This will correspond to the load order, with Skyrim.esm being 00 and on from there. That should help you identify which mod they're from. The number I get is f40f224 and I use NMM, so the load order numbers are a bit weird in that they go from numbers to letters. Does this number mean I look at the mod that is 40th in LO or 224 or F4? thx. I'm guessing this issue is related to Dawn of Skyrim and my LO. thumbincubation
hmm...not sure about that one, as I'm not accustomed to NMM. The other thing you might try is to open console and type save funclist 1 which will show you an enormous text file. Use the edit > find feature of your notepad to plug in the number you get, when pointing at them and see if it helps narrow down a mod prefix. When I do it, some rows are more complete than others, so this is a guess. The file will have saved in your documents > my games > skyrim special edition> saves folder, as both an .ess file and a .txt file. I've had no problems deleting them, after I've found what I needed. It's what I use when I want to player.moveto a non-vanilla NPC, who isn't listed on the wiki.
KurganSPK
I discovered it was some sort of conflict with Dawn of Skyrim and Blowing in the Wind's patch for same - I removed the patch and the textures are fixed. Lanterns don't "blow in the breeze" but I can life with that ;-) thanks for your help though. I will use your tips for other issues I'm sure. bhebbler
I'm having the exact same issue. I have the same mods as you except for blowing in the wind so I dont have the patch for it to remove. I'm stumped. Any suggestions?
