Close To Tears

Okay, I admit just like anyone else I love to watch rage videos on youtube, however when they end up in the destruction of the xbox, or other gaming platform I come close to tears.

I love gaming, and have all my life. It has simply become a part of who I am, and i assume a part of who we are, as gamers. Now, I'll save the gaming is a way of life, connects people, blah blah blah speech for another time, because honestly Gaming defines a generation, and is it's own form of art.

However, Whenever i see a console destroyed, or really any electrical device at all, i come close to tears. Not in laughter, and not in sadness for the angered person, but for sadness for the device! There is honestly and truly a part of me that is hurt whenever an electrical device dies.

haha dont come to my house then. i think ive smashed (purposefully) just about every piece of hardware. every generation of Playstation, gameboys, ipods, cellphones, Zunes, an xbox. several 360s, a desktop PC. TVs, cd players, a stereo......that might be it.... Edited by hoofhearted4

I agree with Axisdeath, it's a shame whenever electronic equipment is destroyed, whether it's an accident or on purpose. I take care of my PC almost to the extent that some people would take care of their pets, including wearing anti-static wristbands whenever I'm doing something to the inside of my case other than a monthly dusting. i dont destroy things cause im pissed off, or to relieve stress or anything. i do it cause its fun. sometimes i take them apart in a forceful manor just to see the insides, other times ive shot them with guns, and other times ive just smashed them. most of the things ive broken didnt work. or were being replaced (ie gameboys and playstations and cell phones)

Destroying electronic devices is fun. I even blew up my comp when it finally died (but the damn C4 left a hole in my floor). And I threw countless cellphones through the window, shot consoles with an anti-materiel sniper (that just blows them to pieces). I even destroyed TV's, microwaves and radios. It's fun to see pieces flying around.

But those things were dead before I even layed my hands on them so it's not like I destroyed a working thing in rage (I can't afford to destroy things that work).

Man I thought I was brutal when I destroyed things with various jury rigged implements and gravity.

I am not much of a destructive person so if I have something that is broken beyond repair I tend to just throw it out. I don't want to step on little pieces of plastic when getting up at 5:30 in the morning due to a poor cleanup job the night before  . I know what you mean though. It is horribly wasteful for anyone to destroy functional pieces of technology even if they are dated.
