Location CTD?

I keep getting this crash to desktop whenever I get near any of the fast travel locations in the outside world. What I mean by this is, any fast travel location that's not inside another cell (I think that's what they're called), causes the game to CTD. What I mean by this is that if I were to fast-travel to a location that's not a part of the capital wasteland (ie Megaton) the game works perfectly fine. However if I fast travel to Vault 101 or Rivet City, the game loads then CTDs. This also occurs if I manually travel to the area in question, without the use of fast travel. I've turned off all my mods, and it still does this. I've also tried the master update fix, and the deleting saves fix, to no avail.

Current load order, if it helps.

First thing to try is look through the posts to find the .ini tweeks to limit your CPU to only two cores. Fallout does not run well on more than 2 cores. Since you can run the game, I don't think you need to move it out of program files. It appears steam takes care of the UAC, I think. I don't use Steam or Games For Windows Live. I don't see any glaring errors in your load order that would be causing the CTD. I am assuming you are using ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated and FOMM. It that correct? If not, you should add them to your game.

I've already done the CPU tweak. And yeah I use ArchiveInvalidation and FOMM. Still nothing that's fixed it. Also, if it helps, this started happening after completing the quest "Stealing Independence."

There must be a conflict with one of your mods. If you don't have FO3Edit, what you can try is to make a hard save and exit the game. Disable all of your mods and see if you still have the problem. If every thing is good,

enable your mods one at a time. When the problem returns, the last mod you loaded will be the problem. Don't forget to toggle ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated each time you add a mod.
