Deleted4896204User
Hi, So I made a very simple mod with the CK to raise weight and values of mammoth tusks, horker tusks and troll skulls. I saved the mod, installed it with MO and enabled the plugin, putting it at the bottom of my load order. But when loading the game, only the weights of these items are updated but not the value. I made sure nothing was overwritting these values in TES5Edit, my mod definitely has the last word for those values, yet only the weights are changed. I have no idea what's going on. Has anyone had this issue before?
IsharaMeradin
If you have not, test on a new game. If it still persists, test without any other mods active. If it works as intended without any other mods active, slowly test as you add more mods to the mix. There are some scenarios that I can think of which may cause the game to override your values:1. Another mod using SKSE sets the value at run time and thus replacing your value.2. Gold value might be included in the Stats that Wrye Bash is capable of importing into the bashed patch. As such a mod included in the bashed patch could be replacing your values provided your plugin is before the bashed patch.3. Gold value might be one of those things that gets baked into the save game and does not change for currently loaded instances, but may change for new instances. Deleted4896204User
Thanks for answering. It does work properly with a new game. Does that mean I need to start a new character if I want the new values or is there a way around it? I tried to load the mod both before and after the bashed patch, but in both cases the value of the items were left unchanged. IsharaMeradin
With it working on a new game, presumably with mods, then SKSE interference can be ruled out. With it not working irrespective of where the bashed patch is in relation to your plugin, imported values in the bashed patch can be ruled out. Therefore, need to confirm that it is indeed baked in data for the currently loaded instances. Try the following:Revert to the save made before creating and adding your mod. Load it up and get rid of all instances of the objects that you are editing. Move your character into a cell away from any such objects (at least as much as possible). Wait 30 in game days to give the cells a chance to reset. Save and exit the game.Activate your mod, load up the save you just made, obtain new instances of the objects that you have edited (using console is acceptable). If the values were updated, then it was simply information baked in for the currently loaded instances. If you don't want to go through all that hassle, just try consoling in new instance of the object(s) you have edited.
Deleted4896204User
I thank you for your time, but I actually started a new game as I had uninstalled a couple of other mods during that playthrough and I was actually not too far into the game so I decided to just start fresh. I'll keep in mind what you suggested though, might I need it at some point. Thank you very much.
