TenthLegion Posted February 14, 2012 Share Posted February 14, 2012 So I finally managed to reinstall oblivion with all of my previous mods, which before was working perfectly, no crashes or anything. Now it seems that whenever I load a save or whenever I am out in-the wilderness and load a new area my game crashes to my desktop, no error messages, just hello desktop. I use Boss and Wrye Bash and OMM. I utilize the Bashed Patch and rebuilt it whenever i added or removed any mod. I have tried lowering the graphics from the highest to the lowest setting and still nothing changes... I ask for any help you kind folks are willing to give me. This game is a treasure for me and also the bane of my existence... I think im on my third mouse by now XD. Ipman2 Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 Two options in my opinion:1) When you install a new mod, you have to activate both esm (if there's any) and esp.2) But most likely I think you have a mod conflict, try not to install unverified mods (the ones that boss doesn't recognize)And I think you have Max Taels Natural Environment mod and another "natural" mods this might be a problem. By the way you REALLY have a lot of mods.No one including bben46 recommends to install bunch of mods at once. Install one or several ones which you are DEFINITELY sure that they won't conflict at once. Then see the results.Hope it helps. Good luck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Lisnpuppy Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 I really didn't look at the list closely at your load order but if its running until you go out in the wilderness its typically a mod conflict with those areas or just too much going on (ie..too much added into the world either things that add trees, buildings, people or land changes or the fact you have many "conflicting" overhaul type mods. Personally as many things as you have I would start from scratch. Boss is great but sometimes it does weird things especially with overhaul mods. Try turning it all off and adding the overhauls one at a time, building your patches. Make a new toon just for the testing purposes, godmode him if necessary and run about seeing if you crash then add in your other mods a few at a time, rebuild your patch, etc. Its a pian but worth it if you run so many things.!!!) You can use tes4edit or tes4gecko to combine armor and weapons/clothing mods into 1 esp also. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am currently reinstalling them slowly back, first with fcom and the basics, I know which area i crash the most is where out side of Cheydinhal by the waterfall. i currently run with a 1 TB hard drive with 8 gigs of RAM on a quad core @ 2.6 GHz with a 1 gig geforece 9800 gt. would adding more video card power help and having more RAM help? btw how would one use the tes4edit or gecko to merge differange armor/weapons mods into 1 esp, that would help a lot to reduce my total number of plugins XD i believe i was at approx 226 WITH the bashed patch xD Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
