Not sure where to put this Fallout topic

I was playing New Vegas recently and wondered to myself how much will Bethesda take from New Vegas' features. I sure hope they give big guns iron sights because I like the precision given to pistols and rifles, but miss it when using a big gun that should have iron sights, like the incinerator which seems like you could raise the sights up. I saw that the RPD light machine gun was produced from 1944 until the 60s, maybe a unique version could be in Fallout 4. On the subject of unique weaponry, I like the direction Obsidian took with making it stand out from the normal weapon in more than just stats and name. I wonder how Fallout 4 would look with the tweaked engine used in Skyrim. I can already run Skyrim maxed out at 1080p and it does look very realistic. I do hope that Fallout 4 will not disappoint me like Skyrim did with all the hype surrounding it. The HUD is obviously cut and paste from the consoles and I got so annoyed that I am actually using a controller to play. Its too boring for me to play Elder Scrolls when I feel like its not as engaging as New Vegas, I just did not like any of the companion choices or Caesars Legion, but thats another story. Skyrim feels too similar to Oblivion to me, almost like they took some Fallout perk system ideas and a few other things from Fallout and made the world graphically impressive, but its just as dead as the Capital Wasteland probably due to the engine limitation. Anyway, what do you guys think Fallout 4 should improve upon, regarding Skyrim and New Vegas? Also, just putting this out there, has anyone wondered how New Vegas would look under the tweaked "Creation" engine?

I think you are on the right track here.

FO4, when it comes out [rumoured for 2013 I think?] will have the new game engine that Skyrim is using, of that we can be fairly sure of.

I also suspect that FO4 will have many of the features that have been included in NV and for that matter, they'll see what the modding community here has done and incorporate many of those features into the new game. Things like Project Nevada make NV so much more than the vanilla release and its popularity via endorsements and downloads show clearly that it is a feature that people wnat from their gaming experience. They dev's at Obsidian and Bethesda pay attention to these sorts of things. I'm pretty certain that hardcore mode for NV came out due to the FWE mod for FO3. The Gun Runners arsenal must be due to the huge numbers of modded weapons that are out there.

Now I haven't played Skyrim yet as I'm about to upgrade my system in 2 months time so I can't comment on the game. Howevere I have heard that while its stunning visually, it lacks depth and character. I too hope that the dev's take on this criticism and increase the populations of NPC's etc of the settings.

It looks okay, but it does not look great. Sadly Skyrim is pretty grey and it has low res textures without a special mod/DLC.

The engine itself will allow for massive graphical improvements though.
