*Sigh* Stuck at work for the first saturday in like 9 years... I've always had a "nine to fiver" and this is just sucking. Nothing to do, nobody wants parts so here I am, trying to pass the time.

Hey, don't feel to bad. I'm stuck in my office from 7am to 7pm every friday, saturday, and sunday. This(as you could undoubtedly figure) categorically, shoots my weekend to hell(I'm 19 so my weekends are still a precious commodity to me). But do you play chess?(this might seem a little off-topic, but i promise I have a point with this)

I do play chess, but it's been ever so long. However, I do remember liking a good game now and then.

 

Of course, after my first post I got umpteen things to do. :biggrin:

I've never played a game of chess like that before and I know I don't remember the board well enough to even attempt something like that. :confused:

I wish it were that easy. Most everything entertaining is firewalled. The only thing that isn't, at least that I've come across, is youtube, and that's dodgy at best.

And thanks, a buddy of mine found it and sent it to me. It's a clip from the from teaser from Rayman Raving Rabbids 2. Unfortunately the clip escapes my best efforts to locate it.

Well we could always use this image as a reference:

And the pieces start like this:

So we could Pm move back and forth with the following naming convention:

 

Pawn=P

Rook=R

Knight=N

Bishop=B

Queen=Q

King=K

 

We could issue moves like: P f e2-e4 (Pawn from e2 to e4)

We'de have to be careful though, Keep coordinate letters lower-case and piece letters uppercase. It could work though.

I take my computer to work because I need the graphics card. It's mostly to work on a Thief 2 FM series, but sometimes I play a bit of Oblivion. And you know, it's nice to get paid to play a game.
