tangyrobot Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Whenever I click on "Upload Plugin and Archive to Steam", i get the Add/remove files to archive window. All that's listed in "Add/Remove files to archive" screen is "BSShader_DefNormalMap". I click "Pack files" and TESArchive comes up, followed shortly by "Error - Archive Process Failed." Am I doing something wrong here? Any help would be appreciated!
sevvie Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) I have the exact same problem, when all I modded was the weight of some items. I know that I didn't accidentally modify something I didn't mean to, because I thoroughly checked the file details in the data selector. OH! Actually, I might have figured it out. Have you used SteamTool? Or any other Steam game mover? I've used to to put Skyrim and a select other few games on my SSD, and it turns out that the creation kit doesn't play nicely with moved steam games. Steam Workshop also doesn't play nicely with a moved Skyrim. Edit: Actually, I tried with Skyrim in its default location and the same problem still occurred. So nevermind for that idea. :/ Edited February 17, 2012 by sevvie
tangyrobot Posted February 17, 2012 Author Posted February 17, 2012 i'm gonna post the reply i got that ended up working for me: Quote Open "Archive.exe" in your steamapps/common/skyrim folder. It was installed with your Creation Kit.It's a more advanced .bsa packer. Make sure the .bsa file you make in Archive.exe is spelled EXACTLY the same as your .esp Then when you go to upload your mod, it will find the already made .bsa file next time i started up creation kit, it said "Mod.bsa already found, use it?", I assume that's why the name needs to be the same. Hope that helps.
sevvie Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Thank you so much tangyrobot!! That made it work! :)

Sulhir Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) Archive.exe NOT TESArchive. It's in your Skyrim directory - should be one level above the Data folder where your .esp is. You should be able to go to Edit > Add File > select each file needed for your mod.I also heard you can drag/drop files.Make sure all the check marks are checked - not sure if it's important but sounds important. And that's all I know. I came here to see if you guys new more, but you knew less. How I know anything. Where I'm going for more information but haven't read yet. Edited May 23, 2014 by Sulhir
