Building a PC Integrated into an Entertainment Center

Recommended Posts

So I built my first PC last month (specs in my sig), and I'm already thinking of building my next lol. After drooling over custom water-cooled builds and all the cool LEDs ( I considered a build with UV reactive liquid), I realized that I'm more low-key and while i want the high-end performance, I'm more about hiding it
So I'm looking to actually build my next PC into an entertainment center like the one above. I want to do this for a few reasons: 1) To reduce space usage 2) Get a completely clean look, and 3) minimize clutter (which is related to the first point)

I was wondering what are the things i need to take into account? I definitely plan to drill a small hole in the front to install a power button to the front of the case.

But I'm thinking I'd have to take into account cooling, and USB?

This was just an idea that popped into my head last night, so I'm not sure where I would drill exactly to make the holes for the fans and USB holes. Obviously, I don't want too much on the front (except for the power button), but I want to make sure I'm able to use it seamlessly

Any other tips or suggestions?

Decide where you want to mount the system board, and go from there. You will also need some fairly substantial holes for cooling. Either that, or a provision for mounting your radiators outside of the box. As most of them come pre-assembled... that's gonna be interesting.
