Unrecognised Plugins

Now comes the hardest part. After installing these modifications, encountered some strange things. These are:

1) Arvena Thelas' house in Anvil. When I'm trying to enter it - this is what I get.

 

 

Strange, isn't it? But that's not all.

 

What's more strange - my map strongly suggests that I am NOT in Anvil (take a look).

 

 

OK, moving on.

 

2) Benirus Manor in Anvil. There is a corner in the basement where is nothing under carpet. Just... darkness.

 

 

If to step on it - my character will fall down, until he will return to the basement above and some steps aside from that "black hole".
Additionally, as you can see here...

 

 

... that darkness on the floor blinks from side to side (I assume this is between Benirus Lair and Benirus Basement where Lorgren's altar is).

 

3) Bravil. For some strange reason, the entrance to the orphanage has been... a little cut, yes.

 

 

4) The Great Chapel of Stendarr in Chorrol. Yes, you see that right.

 

 

 

5) Frostmourne And Lich Kings Armor United by jojjo. While swords' replicas are working fine, the true Frostmourne makes CTD the moment I am equipping it, even without it's sheathing.

Using Oblivion with Shivering Isles, 1.2.0.416 (non Steam). Additionally, using the latest OBSE (v0021).
Besides mods that are noted above, I am using DarnUI and Qarl TP3 v1_3's hires textures.

Used BOSS to sort plugins before playing the game + Wrye Bash for making Bashed Patch.

I don't use COBL or OOO.

However, there could be that I am doing something wrong, for I am not pro when it comes to Oblivion modding. Maybe I must install those mods in a specific order? Or maybe some mod is conflicting with the other?

Could you please help me, and say what is exactly that I am doing wrong?
Also, could it be that I am doing something wrong while rebuilding Bashed Patch?

You have a number of very serious issues.

 

Have you read any of the readmes for these mods? You have mods that do the same thing (Natural Weather/All Natural), mods that are known to be buggy (Illumination Within), and far too many esps for several mods (Unique Landscapes should have the individual plugins OR the merged esp, not both).

 

In other words, your load order is completely jacked up and you need to go through each mod, read the esp and install accordingly. Additionally, you should be using either OBMM or Wrye Bash to install your mods - both have automated installation options for the large mods you're running (Better Cities, Unique Landscapes, All Natural (Wrye Bash is required for All Natural to work properly).

 

Furthermore, I notice you don't have a single one of the Unofficial Patches. Why?

Check the mods that alter the glitchy cells and cancel their changes with TES4Edit. It might fix a part of your problems.

You may find it funny, but I've never done this thing before. Well, I suppose, there's always something new to try in your life... any guides or tips about that?

Oh... yes, my bad. Even if activated is just Natural Weather corrected by Ryu Doppler, along with All Natural - still, I admit. A mistake from my person.

Well... yeah. But maybe that is a result of installing the mods with OBMM Extended (it did asked me some installation options during mod installing)...

 

Which also leads to another part of your post, where you've mentioned OBMM/Wrye Bash. Using them both, though TBH, I've never used WB to install a single mod. Preferred OBMM. Also, got TesModManager for Oblivion, but something tells me that it may not be the tool I need to use.

My answer is a bit silly/stupid, but I haven't encountered any serious bugs while playing Oblivion. Maybe there was a two-three of them in the past, but not now. If UOP must be used with mods - did not know that. Will use in the future.

 

So, if I understood things correctly - must reinstall Oblivion with SI and KotN + other official plugins, patch them with official patches and UOP as well, then install other mods one by one (excluding Weather Natural and some others) with WB/OBMM. Right? Then use WB to build a Bashed Patch... BTW, are there any settings in building a patch that I have missed?

And then - LOOT/BOSS.

 

Also, is there a particular order which mod to install first, then second then etc and etc?

1) You can try this, but without knowing a decent amount about mods in general and your mods in particular, its far more likely you'll make any issues worse.

 

2) The readmes mention correct installation methods. All Natural, in particular, as a fantastic readme that specifically notes that it is incompatible with Natural Weather and requires use of the filter feature of Wrye Bash. I noticed that you do in fact have a Bashed Patch, though.

 

Purge Cell Buffers specifically mentions choosing only one.

 

Why aren't you using the merged version of UL? I didn't count, but it looks like you have them all. More esps means higher instability.

 

Finally, Better Cities (seems to) have too many esps - do you need both IC Imperial City and Imperial City? I would read carefully to make sure this is correct. I've never seen that many BC plugins in a load order.

 

3) Its not "just Natural Weather". Its two mods that are actively competing to control your weather. Since many of your issues involve odd visual glitches, I'd think it pretty likely that this is the cause. You can't simply shrug it off when you use two mods that are explicitly incompatible with one another.

 

4) As for OBMM Extended - the mod page explains that you should use TESModManager as it fixes several bugs. However, I've noticed that some OMOD scripts have difficulty with TMM and would probably stick to OBMM.

 

5) Wrye Bash is required for the Bash Patch. Since you do use it, you're fine.

 

6) The Unofficial Patch is only for fully patched versions of the game. So all of those bugs didn't just go away magically. Every single one of those bugs are still in the game. Furthermore, there are a whole lot more than 2-3 bugs. The Unofficial Patches are especially important when modding for two reasons: what is a small bug in a vanilla game can be much worse when modding and many mods expect it to be loaded and have made their mods completely compatible with the patches - so your mods are expecting those fixes to be in place.

 

Finally, your issues almost certainly are due to Better Cities. The first is not something I can diagnose, but a visual glitch may be solved by getting rid of the Natural Weather esps (which you shouldn't have had so many of anyways) and/or Illumination Within/Without. Illuminatino Within/Without is known to be a buggy mod and is not recommended. Look for Animated Window Lighting System instead.

Adding to what beldaran said... here is a comprehensive guide for modding Oblivion: http://wiki.theassimilationlab.com/tescosi/Main_Page. The information on that wiki might be a bit outdated but is still relevant to this day. Just ignore the FCOM section until you are sure you know what you are doing. :) And yes, reading the readme is quite crucial if you want to mod the game and enjoy playing it instead of troubleshooting most of time (been there.... done that and from time to time I still bomb the whole game installation and start from scratch)
