Hello everyone. Obviously i just created my account and this is my first post. So i figured i would tell you a little about me and get to know everyone here.

I have not created my own mod yet for any game, but in the future i would like to learn how to do that. I really seem to be into FPS's lately, but i love all types of games. I grew up on the Crash Bandicoot series and still love him to this day. I really enjoy the Fallout series and i just bought Fallout 4(which is part what pushed me to make an account here) I am actually semi-new to the modding scene. The first mods i tried out were for Battlefield 2142 from here when that game as new. I don't know if i ever got them to work and that was really the extent of modding for me.

I decided to finally join finally because i just finished building my first gaming PC not to long ago(my first PC that is all my own as well). Its specs are:

- intel i7-4790k CPU

- Gigabyte Z97MX-gaming 5 Matx motherboard

- 16Gb of Corsiar Vengence pro 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM

- Cryorig H7 CPU cooler
- EVGA 750Ti SC 2Gb

- 2Tb seagate HDD

- 2 Disc drives(but they arent hooked up as i lost the SATA loop for my PSU, any one know where to find one?)

- Corsair semi-modular 500w PSU(not the greatest, but it works for now until i upgrade my GPU)

- Cooler Master 690 case

I am flying to Seattle in a few days so everything is going to be broken down, put in my carry in and assembled in a temp case there. So this list may change sooner than expected! I hope not.

Some may look at it and think that that is a weird CPU and GPU combo, and i agree, if it was mainly for gaming. But i am a college student working towards a degree in mechanical engineering and this combo really works well for running the programs like Inventor and AutoCad. I will eventually upgrade my GPU, i am just waiting for a good deal. I do know i definitly will need one for when i get to modeling and simulation classes.

Some of my hobbies and passions are:

- Cars

- Motorcycles

- Bicycles

- Guns(especially long range precision shooting)

- Video games

- Computer building

- Straight Razors

- Fountain Pens

- History

- Math

- animals of all kinds!

I am also dyslexic, so forgive any spelling error in the future.

I am on on PSN, Steam, Orgin, and U-play if anyone want to play.

Hello. I'm new as well. I bought a gaming computer 2 days ago and fallout 4. I have no idea how to do anything.

Currently trying to learn, I'd like to mod FO4 for better visuals and realism for starters.

it couldn't be any easier, just download nexus mod manager and then head to the nexus page for fallout 4 and click on download with manager, and that's it

i still remember when we had to manually mod our games, it was strangely fun to do

Awesome man! It seems like we could be best friends! Now only if we both said velociraptor!

I agree about the story. But i am still in the beginning of fallout 4. I say the game-play is a vast improvement so far. But i do have a secret, i never finished fallout 3 or NV . Since i was always using the family computer it was always getting removed for room for someone else's stuff. I did forget to put down swords/knives, blacksmithing, machining, reading, comic books, and some other stuff. It just seems ever since i started college i don't have time for any of it so i seem to forget it all.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to this thread. I have been pretty busy trying to get everything together for a trip in a few day and it will be the first time flying! So i have been a nervous wreck lately.

I still want to learn how to mod my games manually!

Since it seems like everyone here has played fallout 4, can you tell me this, i don't know if it was a glitch or they explain it later in the game.

But do any of you remember in the beginning of Fallout 4( if you play as the guy, i dont know if it happens if you play as the woman) when you get to the vault and you are about to go into the cryp pods you put on your vault 111 suit but your wife doesnt. She goes into the pod with her normal clothes. Then when the bald dude(Kellogg?) comes to take Shaun away, your wife has the vault 111 suit on. Was this a glitch? Was it a little something you find out about later in the game, like she thawed out before and then went back in? I heard the story was awful, so maybe it doesnt get explain and is a standard Bethesda glitch.

If it was just a glitch, it seems like a lost opportunity for a little story. Maybe someone can make a mod were Vault-tech thawed out random people at different time to run tests and experiments and you got to see and play them. Maybe something happens to your wife? Maybe she goes out first into the wasteland? If she does, maybe she leaves you notes and stuff thru-out the wasteland for when you finially thaw out so you can find her. but then she is caught and put back in the cryo pod.

Part of me wishes she was still alive in the game. Maybe an alternate version could be she did escape, and made a life in the wasteland by joining the institute untill you were able to get out. An that was a early version of a synth in the cryo pod that was suppose to look like her and let her know when you got out. She put shaun back in the cryo tube because she didnt think a baby would last long in the wasteland at the moment with the way things are going. But Kellogg found out and kidnapped the baby as blackmail !

I dont know. Let me know what you think. Maybe if people really like this idea i can try for it to be my first mod!

Just a bug. She's supposed to be wearing it when your character sees her get in the pod. Saddly yes the games plot is predictable, boring, and limited. I know there is a mod that adds a synth version of your wife to the game that could be used as a companion. Personally i think it could have been cool if the spouse hasca chance to live based on choices before getting into the pod..

Thanks. That sucks. I really wish the story was good with this game. After waiting so long for this Fallout and they dropped the ball on the story.

Thank you for telling me about the companion mod. I wish she would live as well. That seems like it would just be a logical option. To me any way.
