Replacing blacksmith trough with horse trough water

Currently the water in the blacksmith's trough is a non-animated texture while the horse trough has regular animated water. I opened up blacksmithforgemarker.nif in nifscope but I'm not sure what to do next as I have little experience messing around with meshes.

 

I was wondering A. is it currently possible to replace the blacksmith's trough water and B. if it's possible, could someone provide a brief summary of the steps that need to be taken?

I fiddled around with it, and I regret to inform you that it may not be possible. I spliced in the "BSWaterShaderProperty" into the whiterun-specific smithing trough and it made the game crash on load.

 

Part of your problem may have been that the blacksmith NIF had one of those annoying NiDefaultAVObjectPallette lists that leads the mouseclicking on the mesh render astray... and it doesn't help that the actual NiTriShapes are buried under quite a convoluted set of nested NiNodes and such.
