Which mod will get rid of fines for murdering guards?

Every time I kill a guard, no matter where, even in the middle of nowhere with no one to witness the act, BAM! 1,000 dollar fine instantly pops up. Indoors, outdoors, no matter what. Apparently all the imperial legions have built-in bio-metric implants that informs of the Legion headquarters of my crime...

Is there a way to make them behave like normal NPCs? If I murder a legion in day light in front of people, fine away, but when I sneak up on them and kill them indoors with noone there to see, I shouldn't be fined! Also I managed to kill them in one shot (due to sneak multiplier), and still I get fined... This is ridiculous...

I already have No Psychic Guards 1.2, but that doesn't modify the fines but just how far the guards can detect crimes...

I'm guessing this is how the game is scripted, that the process for NPC guards to report crimes comes before the script that says "this NPC is dead"... But how can a dead guard report his own death!?!? ARGGG!!!

Try Reneer's Guard Overhaul for more realistic guard AI and bounty settings. If you need to get rid of bounties/murders/assaults/whatever, then try Reset Your Status Page.

Wow... Cool mod. However it's way too complex... I just want the part where if I killed all the witness to my crime my bounty drops...

Hmm.... Remove Evidence might do the trick! Or: No More Crime.

Thanks for those links... I'm not looking to get rid of crime though... Isn't there a mod that simply imitate what crime in real life is like without going overboard with disguises and corpse spells and stuff?

I think what I really want is for the crime to only register if more than one guard is notified... I mean, if I punch out some random Imperial Forrester in the middle of a jungle, who is reporting my crime? The deers?

This mod should probably also script for one of the guards to run off (ie. to report the crime to whoever) while the rest come over and try to kill / arrest me... And that if I can stop that guard from running off (exiting cell) as well as killing the rest of the guards at the crime scene, the crime should just not be registered and I get off scott free...

But anyway, another question: Is there a mod that make the Guards act more human? Right now if I kill a guard while undetected, the guard beside him just walks over to the corpse, crouch down, mutters "he was killed" (or something like that), then goes back to his station and stands there, next to his dead partner...! WTF? That is so ridiculous that it's actually kind of funny...

This idea is really cool, but I wonder how much AI Oblivion is even capable of.

Quite a lot actually, if OBSE is being used. Check out the AI scruggs did for Thieves Arsenal (TESNexus mod link here). The "Corpse Detection" is pretty cool, but it is for unconscious bodies, not corpses. I'm not sure if you could get Oblivion to differentiate between actor and creature corpses (I'm not a modder, so I don't know the limits of the Oblivion AI).

Wow... That mod turns Oblivion into "Thief"... All that's missing are those steam powered guard robots LOL.
