Birdjaguar
I've been playing for over 200 hours without a problem, until tonight. Windows 7, 64 bit; i7 processor Mods loaded through Nexus mod manager: Quality world mapComplete crafting overhaulDeadly dragonsNatural nudesOverlook towerSmithing perks overhaulWeapons and armor fixes Everything has been working just fine. Tonight I subscribed, through steam, to "dynamic merchants". When i click on play, it gets as far as the Bethesda splash screen and then crashes to the desktop just after the little steam icon shows up in the lower right. I have: rebootedunsubscribed from that modrestarted steamThe merchant mod appeared in mod manager, but not as being active. i deleted it from there. Any ideas? minngarm
Sounds like a Steam server issue, its probably just "back logged" and does not realize you have unsubscribed from the mod. I'd say clear the router cache, cookies and all that as well and see if that fixs it. If not you could try reinstalling the game and re-downloading mods as well. Also make sure you are using NMM and launching with SKSE via NMM instead of just Skyrim on its own.

When I launch the game through the NMM, the same crash happens. Will saved games be saved if I reinstall? I have the game CD; do I need to uninstall before reinstalling? Thanks. minngarm
Skyrim Script Extender, I'm 99% sure that you need it to be able to run the mod you tried to download, and thus the lack of it is probably the source of you're problem.

Birdjaguar
OK, I reinstalled the merchant mod using the mod manager rather than the steam subscribe and launched the game using mod manager. Failed again. I deactivated the merchant mod in mod manager I resubscribed to it through steam and launched through steam. Failed again. So then I deactivated all the mods in mod manager and reactivated them one at a time. The problem it turns out is with the overlook mod. I have 3 files in mod manager and I cannot get it to work. Base v1Mainv1_6betaESM version Which file(s) should be active to make it work? At this point all I've lost is my loot that I had in the Overlook, but if I can get it working, I think using an earlier save may retrieve it.
