AzureB
Hello, I've been using the TES CS for Oblivion a couple of times for modding. I downloaded the Moonshadow Elves race and it was awesome, but they have the 'Imperial' voice set as default in the Race Menu, and the other options, 'zzSPMU' and 'zzSPST' just leaves the character mute. So I googled this and tried to solve it by myself, in vain. One solution was to replace the Imperial voice files with whatever i wanted but I don't want every single Imperial female having the same voice as my character. Most of the topics simply didn't answered the question, and among the solutions I read and tried there was this one where you had to create some folder with this format: data/sound/voices/mymod.esp/myrace/F/ and inside it place the .lip and sound files, but it was useless. I'm pretty sure you assign the voice options inside the CS because the Moonshadow .esp has two voice options for the race ('zzSPMU' and 'zzSPST') but the .rar file doesn't give you any folders containing voices (hence they don't work), just a couple of .mp3s in another directory and they are used as sound effects. My temporary solutions was to load the Tabaxi .esp that has already the 'Tabaxi' voice option in the race menu, and the Moonshadow .esp and combine them in a single .esp so that the Moonshadow elves have the 'Tabaxi' voice available, and even if I get tired of the tabaxi voice I just have to go to the directory where the Tabaxi .lip and .mp3 files are and replace them with another voice, surprisingly it works, but I'm looking for the right way to do it. Thanks in advance and sorry if I'm not posting this in the correct section.
Lanceor
That was one way to do it. :) Basically what you said was right - you need to put the voice and lip files into the directories: data/sound/voices/mymod.esp/myrace/F/data/sound/voices/mymod.esp/myrace/M/ Note that myrace has to be an race that already exists in the CS. So had you put the files into sound\voice\Moonshadow.esp\zzSPMU and/or sound\voice\Moonshadow.esp\zzSPMU, that would have worked. Alternatively, you can do what you did and assign the voices of an existing race (whether Imperial or Tabaxi or whatever) to the Moonshadow Elves. But since it's working now, I wouldn't mess with it unless you want the Moonshadow Elves completely independent of the Tabaxi race. :)
