Thundr08
Hello to all! I'm pretty new to PC gaming and still need to learn a few of the ropes. I want to play Skyrim(PC) with my Xbox 360 controller (GOW3 edition w/charge pack and cord). I have read countless forums and watched numerous videos of how to sync a controller to a PC. I am still pretty unsure why I cant plug-in and game. Pretty much what I have learned is that my charge cord for my 360 controller is just that; it is a charge cord and nothing more. I installed MS 360 driver for Win7 x64 OS and have read that Xpadder is a necessary download with a controller image too. Configuring the controller via Xpadder seems like a long unnecessary process, but if it is the only way for me to enjoy the game how I want to, then so be it haha. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance and happy Skyriming!!! Specs: Asus MB DeluxeIntel Core i7 3.4GhzEVGA GTX560 TiGSkill 8G RAMRosewill 750W PSMS Win7 Home 64 bit OS
slimhouse
...ever so politely... I would advise #away from 'mapping'/ install any kind of handheld controler... yeh, you will get it to work for sure... but the joy of owning a PC is also in getting to know your own keyboard. Configuring it yourself to ~play/set-up the #Game how you want to play-it etc... IMO you will learn a lot more spending the time config' your Keyboard and Mouse and have the knowledge on hand for future (stats/menu heavy) PC Games. It's oldish now but SILENT HUNTER III (WW2 submarine sim) uses virtually the whole keyboard..! Pro/Competition Gamers ~Use Keyboard and Mouse..! Hope I convinced you..!?

The interface was designed with console controllers in mind and many people just have a better time using one.
