  1. Would you consider getting some of your old posted writings, editing them if you need/want to do so, and putting them into Zen's Garden. Another idea would be to create your own special topic to post most of your stuff into, for example Slimhouse's Garden, to make easier to read your older posts and to make Druid's Garden less congested. All I ask is that people consider these ideas.
  2. It's already been posted, so just to say you have the two choices of either being put to sleep to have them removed but suffer some side effects from aneasthesia post-op, or local aneasthetic and feel all the 'tugging-about' <(that probably didn't help?) ..but no affter effects. hope goes well, nobody likes going the dentist!
  3. Just a thankyou for the site and the thousands of hours all the

Modders large and small spend making our #Gaming Lives that much more interesting and varied.. Thankyou!!

(points to) ~YOUR IN THE WRONG JOKE!!!~ Lightbulbs: "Well, would you mind telling The Blonde at the bar she's from fooooking (IRE, CAN, BEL, etc etc)

  6. Other popular file compressors are - WinAce, WinZip and WinRar some may be Freeware off of magazine CD-Discs but most are trial limited and onetime purchaseware
  7. You need. PhotoRec 6.10 [or latest] - from (Author) cgsecurity.org its nothing short of a fantastic tool for retrieving practically every (common) known system files and extention files It has two powerfull tools that work off of a DOS prompt window (still opens on your desktop.. so not scarry!!) a) PhotoRec -searches drive for stuff like .jpg .png .tiff .txt .xml .gif .psd .pdf etc (list is vast) b) TestDisc -be a little careful with this one, it can recover #Bad sectors, Wipe your #Boot sector and then rewrite a fresh boot.ini file to (re-enable) a lost non start #Hardrive. (tip) no mouse required, use only Up/Down arrow keys and Enter buttons, If you 'click' away to something else on your desktop screen (while PhotoRec is open) you will have to mouse-click the top of the PhotoRec window again to return to just useing the tool and keys only again. ;) (tip) Put #bad HDD in external USB setup, make sure little plastic 'jumper' is placed across the :Slave (2-pin) at rear of duff hardrive -you don't want any 'nasties' that caused the #crash to migrate across to your Main Drive! (Last) Make sure your search is on the external drive, because ALL available drives will be listed including any disc in your DVD-Rom (remove it).
  8. In saying ~trust do you mean trusted to sell you #gear that wont FaiL within a few days of purchase or more that, they could/will take all your personal data and 'sell' it on... so your never free of #spam and junk in your mail @Inbox..! a) Imo always check your own #rig is not compromised with any type of 'Key-logger' virus when purchasing online and use the #virtual keyboard function found in most Security Suits. appolos' for poss sounding a d#mb-ass. I don't buy gear online but prefer a local #Computer Store guess I'm jus' pAraNoiD..!?
  9. Zen's Garden, in Druid's Garden, is now pinned.
  10. 425: Teddybear-Beheamoth...(or any) no problem... high explosive skill + #6 neatly lined up Bottlecap mines... tempt him in... you back-up like a good'n... he runs onto 'em... now... he's a'limping-moma and you just pick him off with whatever you choose. 426: Same with Yoi Gui... just one Bottlecap Mine and the're gone by-bye..!! Always run Wasteland with Bottlecap mine in hand in high risk areas.
  11. Jack Carver from ~FARCRY ( "...niiiice.." ) Abe from ~ABE's ODYSSEY (platform mayhem and humour)
  12. Yep... ELITE and ELITE FRONTIER still got the AMIGA CD32 Console and (working) controlers as I post... (never chuck a thing) Played ELITE on an AMSTRAD 486 and AMSTRAD 6128 from 1985/1986 also YI - HA KUNG FU and ONE MAN and HIS DROID... YI - HA KUNG FU was a classic 'Coin-op' Arcade Game by KONAMI from 1985 blew my money on that and some...! :wallbash:
  13. ...ever so politely... I would advise #away from 'mapping'/ install any kind of handheld controler... yeh, you will get it to work for sure... but the joy of owning a PC is also in getting to know your own keyboard. Configuring it yourself to ~play/set-up the #Game how you want to play-it etc... IMO you will learn a lot more spending the time config' your Keyboard and Mouse and have the knowledge on hand for future (stats/menu heavy) PC Games. It's oldish now but SILENT HUNTER III (WW2 submarine sim) uses virtually the whole keyboard..! Pro/Competition Gamers ~Use Keyboard and Mouse..! Hope I convinced you..!?
  14. Yeh no worries ...Device Manager always allowed you to just 'Update Driver' ...back in the day things like (Nvidia's) #Detonater Deleter was advised to 'cleanse' all areas re. Graphics~ Sounds like things have moved-on, noting the other posts!
  15. When I bought the Nvidia I also bought a 450w PSU. So, I know the GPU is getting enough power... I didn't change my BIOs but I did reset the MOBO/BIOs by removing my CMOS battery for about 10-15 minutes. However, that didn't help... ...yeh it wouldn't help.. ...removing the CMOS battery will default the Bios back to recognizing the ~onboard MOBO graphics ~driver only (thinks) 'Check' the little box in ~Device Manager "use this Device" Make sure the (little) 'jumper' on the MOBO is back-in correct position re. CMOS and the 'jumper' for any graphics set-up PCI / AGP. ...and the Bios setting to AGP ...etc
