Wookie120
I have seen several mods that are called Blueprints, would someone please explain to me how to use them, what makes them different from other mods?

montky
@wookieOneTwenty.damanding's link is excellent, and they say it much better than I can hehe. indeed, there's a few such mods emerging, and often the "How-to" or "Read-Me" is not as complete as for other projects.if it is a "sim settlement" or 'blueprint-settlement",then it can be fun to think of it as you might the Weapons Bench and Combinatorial Weapons Parts Packs...much like you'll need armorkeywords and other mod framework extensions, the sim settlement and blueprint framework extends how you can share settlements, and makes future interoperability and merges more possible... it's like a para-mod, as it's not so much original content outright, as it is,sharing a combination and configuration of parts from your FO4 settlement parts box. "all the world is legos, if you're looking for legos" - the lego movie. instead of weapons, now, individual sections of a settlement become"parts" that you can mix and match or, implement into your game without having to start another save etc...thats right, next level nx! worth of possible mod combos!say, you're watching your favorite YT or Minds 'mod reviewer", and they have a really neat settlement.you like the hidden bar and secret entrance part, but, you like your own or other pastiche of settlement for the rest,so you can merge it that way.in as few as 4 clicks, boom, now you have that settlement in your game, and you can start modding it. goodbye annoying tedium of having to faff with the build-system to build some vague likenessof something you saw in a vid...hello, being able to reproduce that look exactly! Or, say you like the entire settlement someone from Beth.net has made, say "Toddsville" etc, (It's a nice homage to both Todd and "Jayne's Town", statues of Todd everywhere)then, you follow the read-me and you can merge that.It goes great with the Toddsville quest, and "Player companion Todd Howard".you can also get a v75 Gary clone mod, with a Todd Howard replacer morph mesh. the FO4 machinima "being Todd Howard" is made using those...its a real "painter in the painting they're painting", 4th Wall breaking humor. I recommend trying out some of the mod-sim-settlement and blueprint mods forGreek-Rage and ChuckSteel stuff, and if you can find them, the Elianora+ packor Snap-n-Build v6 pack part 2.
