Skyrim Special Edition crashes upon changing the folder NMM saves mods in

My Skyrim was running just fine for the past days but as I unintentionally told NMM to install my mods on m C drive, which I wouldn't want to clutter I moved them today to my original location (NMM is installed on my E drive anyway). It worked somewhat fine. But Skyrim crashed upon loading. SSEEdit doesn't though so I'm a bit helpless. NMM showed all mods were uninstalled though the esp's were all active.
I changed some settings in NMM so it recognised the mods were actually there but told me they were all disabled.
After changing some more settings NMM decided to remove all records to my mods, the ESPs are still there, Skyrim is still not running. So now I have two issues, all my NMM mods are gone (around 150)
and my Skyrim won't launch. I have tried most troubleshooting things such as looking for dirty edits, checking my load order and verifying the integrity of the game files in steam.

I'm clueless so thanks in advance for any responses

Edit #1: I was able to backup my files, NMM now recognises the mods being installed though SSE still crashes on load up
Edit #2: Skyrim apparently crashes just after this message: " C Cannot open store for class "DLC1TestPhilAtronach", missing file?

NMM has to be on the same hard drive as steam

Do not install stream in Program Files directory, cause UAC issues
