AtomicJukebox
I was building some settlements up the other day and I found something I forgot was a thing when I played this game after release - walls don't stack on each other. I thought, "There's probably a simple mod for this," and headed to the Nexus. I then found that not a single mod could be found that adds snap points to let you stack walls. Surely this would be a pretty in-demand mod and simple enough for the people who do this kind of thing. Is there no mod that does this or am I just missing it? I thought Homemaker would probably do it, but apparently not.
MightyZ0G
I'm not sure if Vanilla Extensions has stackable walls or not. because of the way it works you will probably need to do some work on any buildings you have already made as it edits the snap points of a lot of objects which causes walls and floors to be moved around depending on which snap point they anchored to, so it is best to use before you start building settlements. it isn't game breaking if you have already started building, it's just time consuming
Gruffydd
Most walls are set up for you to be able to put a roof or second-story floor on top of them. The spacing is set up to accommodate this, but it also means that you usually can't stack walls, because it would mess up the spacing.Of course, many settlement builders (myself included) promptly wanted to be able to build some rooms that go up more than one floor, especially with how a number of important vanilla items (level 3 shops or a number of generators, for example) didn't fit in a 1-floor room. There are mods out there that have variants of some walls available with an extra bit at the top, allowing you to space them out correctly. I'm pretty sure Homemaker is one of those, at least for some wall types.
