DoctorKaizeld
you have to get permission from the mod owner to port the mod.
thumbincubation
Not familiar with the mod, but it would see like it would use outside resources. Wouldn't PS4 kill it automatically, for that?

DoctorKaizeld
this site dont support consoles go too beths site put up requesthttps://bethesda.net/community/category/84/modsYes this site does. Several modders (myself included) upload mods for consoles on Bethnet and take requests here. I am completely inactive in the Bethnet community as are many others so their requests are welcome here. In this case though the mod cant be uploaded for use on PS4 due to Sony's rules.
resistthis13
I know it's just a rule of this site, but doesn't the mod more of belong to Disney than the mod creator? Like if we're gonna enforce not stealing a mod, we have to remember the mod in itself is inherently stolen. Not sure why the creator of the mod would have any say in who uses their mod for what, if they didn't have to ask the owners of the concept of lighsabers for permission themselves. I know you guys can't disregard the rule because of this, but it's just something that always bothered me about mods that use something that someone else technically owns. and then expect someone to not steal from them, what is already technically stolen. The mod belongs 100% to the mod owner not Disney. While Lucasstudios has the ability and right to ask that the mod be taken down it wont happen. resistthis13
I'm just saying if they try to get someone in trouble for "stealing" their mod, that person can just end up telling Lucassarts/Disney, and get the mod creator in trouble too. Also if it's not"being used in an illegal manner." then there wouldn't be anything they could force the mod to be taken down over. Obviously since there is a possibility, the truth is, it is in fact illegal. Take my profile picture for instance, the creator of the image can't technically make me not use it, since then they could get in trouble for using the character in the image in the first place. This is obviously the case for my profile picture at least as evidenced by the surge of Nintendo fan-games and the like being taken down. Some of them used the character and put them in original games that are only in reality inspired by the original games, and not actually using any assets from existing games. Some of which didn't even ask for pay or donations in any way. As I said these are just my thoughts on the matter though, I myself am not planning on putting any of my thoughts into action. I just feel that if you're going to bring the whole "legality" aspect into question, then you should have to ask yourself, is the mod I made even really legal in the first place? I have such strong feelings about this, because I have been prevented from uploading mods to yes this site, but also other sites for these exact reasons. My case was different (as in not the exact same situation but similar), but the fact was some people were getting away with things that when I attempted to do, was not allowed to because of copyright. Anyway, sorry for going off on a tangent, since none of this matters anyway, because in this situation it's also about technical issues with both transferring the mod to a console, and Bethesda's transfer process. I've just been looking for any reason to bring up my thoughts about this.
