JohnnyQuest101
It seems when I use a modded bed the following happens: If the bed nif has separate sections like blanket, pillow and wood the NPS doesn't recognize it as a bed. I could not get followers to use Jets4571 bed. If I told them to sleep they would sleep on the floor. Even when the bed was assigned to player faction. If I told them to sleep on an unmodded they did. I checked Jets4571 bed, and it was marked correctly as sleep adult with all the correct markers. The only difference is the generic bed is one piece, one texture and the Jets4571 bed has muliple pieces multiple textures. This is Jets4571 modders resources and the beds are really nice. I would love to use them in my mods. Can someone give me advice. I really love Jets4571 beds but can't get NPCs to use them.
agerweb
I use jets beds extensively and npcs i assign to the beds use them no problem at all. I have never tried with followers though so maybe its a specific problem with followers
JohnnyQuest101
Thank you for the input. Yes, these were generic followers not part of my mod, and maybe it is a problem with the followers. After looking at the other bed meshes I notice that common and upper class are not one piece. Therefore, NPCs shouldn't care.
JohnnyQuest101
I found another thing that helps with generic followers not assigned to a bed. It helps to take the nif of the custom bed and assign it to an in-game bed just rename it. Seem to work best for some reason unknown.
