GMatthews
The game is amazing and when I started it I was in complete awe of how beautiful it is. I can't understand how people can complain about the graphics.I also defended almost everything about the game because there are limitations, brought on by the engine, by money and by time. But asI got closer to the end, a few things started to really irk me. The biggest and most glaring was doing quests for the Dark Brotherhood. - I killed the Emperor's cousin in cold blood in front of over a dozen people and I just had to pay a fine???- I killed the fake emperor and several people saw me as I escaped -they obviously know my face as I am a thane in Solitude. But pay my fine and all is forgiven?- The Emperor knows that the Dark Brotherhood will get him but he doesn't bother having two or more guards standing next to him at least until he gets back to Cyrodil? This could easily have been fixed by creating some kind of disguise or Dark Brotherhood armor that HAD to be worn during their executions and you HAVE to run away or stand and fight. That's just sloppy as all hell. I applaud Bethesda for giving a possibility of destroying the Dark Brotherhood -though it's very easy to miss. Honestly I would have also liked a possibility of taking out the Thieves Guild. And I married Derkeethus, the Argonian -so why is he never at my home that I asked him to stay at and always running back to Darkwater Crossing? I ask him how the store is and he gives me money, but when he's in Darkwater Crossing he just hangs out in a tent. There are far too many cool things that happened in the game for me to mention and over-all I absolutely loved the game, but once the Dark Brotherhood quests started taking off it really kind of put a damper on it. Especially a contract to kill Narfi -that I refused to carry out. It should have told me who requested the Narfi kill so I could show them the pointy end of my Sword. As long and involved as the game is I take a dozen or so false starts to get used to it and decide which race/sex I want to look at for the entire game -then I play through once. I doubt I'll ever play it again even with mods. Still, I feel I got my money's worth. Edited February 17, 2012 by GMatthews

I know, right? And to think, Roggvir opens a gate and he gets beheaded. My character pulls out a dagger and stabs a woman (nobility, no less) in front of witnesses at her *wedding* of all things, and doesn't see the inside of jail for even a day. Just my super-random experience with this, but when I gave him his sister's necklace from the river... he gave me some human flesh and a heart as a reward ;( Don't know where he got that from, but it might have something to do with why there's a hit out on him. CANNIBALISM. even though this does not get anyone sent after you for doing it, or most other people. Strange.
eltucu
The game is amazing and when I started it I was in complete awe of how beautiful it is. I can't understand how people can complain about the graphics.Because you dont understand the difference between complaining about the art of the game and complaining about the graphics of the game. They're not the same thing. While you can say that the art is very good, wich it is, the graphics are awful. Half the effects dont have soft edges, the dynamic shadows arent dynamic at all, the animation system (that includes, blending between animations and blending between animations and objects) is awful, there is a limit of 4 shadow casting lights at any given time, that wouldnt be a problem if the environmental light wasnt so bad, water is completely lifeless, motionless, plain and lacks soft edges, water doesnt evens remotely acts dynamically, thus there are weird water currents in the entire province, there is no SSAO, deph of field is not used meaningfully (just as some imagespaces of particular cells), the LOD system is completely lacking (wich forces the game to use lots of vRAM), textures were bad at launch, parallax is used only in a very few select objects (glaciers), etc. And the worst thing about all of that, is that as we have seen, they have the programmers to do all that stuff yet they didnt, and they may wont do it at all.
