Kurisu655
I keep getting this error nearly every time I start Skyrim. If I do manage to load in, if I then change cell, then it comes up. This error comes from the "Crash fix" mod if you were wondering. "Skyrim has crashed due to a missing NiNode. This could indicate an incompatible skeleton, make sure you: 1. Have XPMS skeleton installed. 2. Dont have another skeleton overwrite XPMS in your mod manager. 3. Have run FNIS. If this happened while you removed a clothing item, its definitely incompatible skeleton." I have done what the error states. I have uninstalled XPMS and then reinstalled and did nothing; Can't see why any skeleton would overwrite when it was the last thing to be installed I have also reinstalled FNIS and then ran it to update the animations. I did delete some armour mods, but the error never came up. Reinstalled my animations didn't work either. This error has only recently come up. It has started happening when I installed the XPMSE Compatible patch for the Companion Selene Kate mod. I get the felling it's that mod as I've tried removing it and had no issue (so far), but the problem is that most of my game saves rely on it. I have looked through the post section to see people are having some issues with it, but not the one I am having.
metaforce
It is possible the error is caused by a custom race mod which comes with a skeleton added to the races mesh files. In this case you have to copy the corresponding skeleton from the XPMS folder to the respective folder of the custom race.Another reason could be that you use a custom armor, which isnt compatible with the skeleton you use (some older mods might have that problem). Its difficult to say without knowing which mods are installed (not just the load order)
