This should have been in the game already if it only took a week to make

Please don't start this again. Yes, Skyrim was rushed, and yes, it stings that they could do so much in so little time (and didn't), but that isn't a week from start to release-ready. It's a week from start to demo-ready. I strongly doubt they got it up to the same bug-status as the rest of the game in that time, and a lot of it needs sizeable art asset and area design changes to go with it.

Either way, I can see them possibly releasing a lot of this stuff as either small free upgrades, or as DLC content. I'd be willing to spend $5 on a customized house and adoption, provided they give plenty of options. Things such as spear combat and seasonal changes I can see being free, since one is something fans have been asking for, and another is just awesome enough that they should treat their fans.

Sorry i did not mean it in an aggresive tone, i meant that skyrim seems underdeveloped in comparison to the type of gameplay elements that could have been included. Of course to truly implement these things would have taken ages but seeing those really unique things like a giant mudcrab is what made the elder scrolls great to me and i thought that many of the mods here would have been awesome to have in the game instead of just unlimited side quests to begin with. Im not criticising bethesda just stating what could have been an even better game

Shoulda, woulda, coulda.

Theres always going to be something that should/could have been put in any game.

The fact of the matter is that if every time someone said "we should put x in the game", and they threw it into the implementation queue, the game would never get finished, ever. It's impossible to put everything everyone wants into any single product that has a limited development cycle, and that's a fact.

Everyone perceives things differently, where you think it was rushed, I think the game wasn't. You may say it's full of bugs, I say they did a pretty good job of releasing with an unheard of lower number of bugs than in previous offerings. Your glass can be half empty or half full, I'll stick with half full!

Many of those 'one week mods' were made by professional programmers who have been working with the CK for over 5 years, 8+hours a day 5+ days a week. And most are likely more proof of concept than finished mod.

A game programer has to work with what they are assigned and not with whatever they want to during the actual creation of the game. I'm sure the programmers would have liked to go off on a tangent and make some of these for the release - but they were jammed just getting the already approved changes in before their hard release date.

Hopefully we will see some of these ideas in later free updates or the DLCs that we pay for.

I believe Mr Howard did state that after witnessing what they did in a week, the way things are done at Beth will change in the future. Seems the glorious all knowing leader of a massive gaming Corp was unaware that people work better when the work is fun, and not a grinding chore that makes game devalopment seem like mineing for ore.... who would have known aye...

Imagine what could have been achieved if they gave the writers a week to write what ever quest and story they wanted to....

Or the Farangar voice actor taking a week of lessons

You do realise that it would have been no problem if Beth just uploaded them saying "For testing purposes, no support will be given with these mods, use at your own risk", and we could actually see how they did that "flail", how they added those new animations, etc. It's pretty damn hard to create something when you don't even know how to begin; nevermind on how to implement it, etc.

Gah. That really frustrates me. "Look at all this cool stuff WE could do! No, you can't have it. No, we won't tell you how we did it. No, you won't get any help on how to make it". Couldn't even release the damn things on Mediafire so us modders could have something to work with other than placing already-made objects willy-nilly.

A proof-of-concept that would have been great to actually have so we could finish the concept into something that will work.
