Deleted8847394User
Hello. I'm new to modding and I figured a good place to start would be removing the debris in The Switchboard so I could use it as a Conquest settlement. Unfortunately, something seems to have gone wrong. Placing down a workshop with Conquest results in invisible items and nothing snapping to the floor as it should. I don't really know anything about the CK beyond the bare basics, so I'm at a loss as to fixing this. I'm certain it's something I've done and not a mod conflict because every other settlement works and uninstalling my esp allows for Conquest to work in The Switchboard without any faults. It would be fantastic if anyone could tell me what I'm missing here. Edited June 11, 2017 by Guest
stonefisher
Well I dont know about getting rid of invisible stuff. But about not being able to build on the floor, you need to go around and find formid number of whatever cannot be built on. I use Fo4Edit to fix the issue. I dont know how to do it on the creation kit.Well enter the formid number into the formid field in top left hand corner to bring up the object you want to be built on.Then copy as override into the mod where you want to save the changes into.Scroll down to PRPS - Properties on window on the right and right click and select add.Enter actor value "[0000033D]" and a Value of "1".Exit and save and hey presto you can build on that static object. Ah. Yeah, I've got no experience with Fo4Edit. Like I said, new to modding. Barely a baby with CK. Thank you for that, though. I'm going to fiddle around some more, but maybe I'll give that a shot. montky
howdy! indeed, the switchboard makes for an awesome base.It is one of the trickiest places to build in, along with V75 etc,due to the way they've made the precombines... thie following thread, and the mentorship of Chucksteel, are your friends hehehttps://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5522717-fallout-4-optimization-and-performance-systems-explained/ in the switchboard, 14 objects or so are tricky.the coffeetable in the director's office, the diagnostic table in the PAM wing, and some toilet cubicles, they're tricky. deleting them with 'delete anything' or 'wasteland springcleaning' etc, is not advisable,as it breaks precombine etc. the entry staircase pipeline is also a pain in the butt near the guard post,so be careful with that one. But, once you put in the elevators and door to anywhere, you can make the switchboard a lot like the MIB headquarters, or into a huge settlement.you use doorportals, and new lands - interior, and you can make it really awesome hehe.as, the base FO4 one is a little small after a while hehe.I like to think the railroad made some additions to it. you could connect it to the 'under-lexington',and then on to the retirement village or to the fallons lexington etc. good luck making it into a Conquest outpost, and I look forward to seeing what you do with it. The funny thing is, I initially suspected the precombined meshes had something to do with it, but I completely forgot it until you brought it up! Thank you so much for the links! I hope I cant get the esp working with these.
