ghosu
Well you have to edit your model the same way when you only use Max...so in fact it doesn't last longer, you just have to export your C4D file as obj and import to Max, then move along the same way as shown here: ... the process itself takes 'bout 5min. toastysquirrel
I've been looking into some tutorials for Blender and learning the interface per the "Noob to Pro" write up. Unforutately teh NtP tutorial is geared to 2.6x while the NifScripts (which is needed to import .NIFs into Blender) is currently only supported up to 2.49. I found this out first hand when I started experimenting with the Armor tutorial and found no "import" .NIF option within 2.62. So now I'm a bit confused as to what to do since I'm still very new at this. The Noob tutorial for Blender seems heavily geared towards 2.6x . Which is fine... except the interfaces between 62 and 49 feel very different as a beginner. And the Armor tutorial seems to rely on 2.49. Is there a way to take the .NIFs that are imported into 49 and somehow convert them into a format so I can monkey around with them in 62? I'm a bit confused as how to proceed since I'm still learning Blender. Kind of like if I spent time learning the Windows 7 interface then had to jump back to using Windows 3.11 for some reason. Not sure how to proceed at this point and I'd love anyone's feedback or suggestions.
throttlekitty
I would stick with learning in 2.6. At the very least, you can always send a finished model back to 2.49 for preparation and export.
Sickotik
Hopefully someone still reads these forums and I can get an answer to my question. Shot in the dark.I just started modding and have basically mastered retexturing items already in game. I have now moved on to armor creation in Cinema 4D. It's my first day of learning about it but before I go further I have one question. I want to import a CBBE body into C4D to use as my base for my armor creation. Or is that even how you do it? My question is 2 parts. Do I start with the CBBE body in C4D like you do the default male from the Skyrim Creation Kit? And second, if so, how do I import a CBBE body into C4D. Where do I get that file, do I need a skeleton to create high heels and can I even edit the poly's from a CBBE body to create the Armor. Hopefully I've explained this well enough to understand. Ghosu has the same profile pic as a German guy who does tutorials about this stuff on YouTube, Lecker Hamster. Same guy? I hope so because he could certainly help me with my issue.
