FastBlackCat
I haven't played Skyrim in about a month, but last night I downloaded the Creation Kit and when I tried to open it, no go. When I tried to open Skyrim, it said the game wasn't available. Upon checking my Skyrim folder in Steam apps, I discovered that about half of the regular game folders (such as the exe files, etc) and ALL of my mods had disappeared. Fortunately, I had made a back up game, so I restored the missing folders, installed my mods again, and the game worked fine. Then I opened the Creation Kit, and it opened, but the minute it did, I got the dreaded "program has stopped working" error message and it crashed. At one point, I got an error message (just once) that said some sort of steam apps dll file was not there, but I didn't write the file name down and when I tried to trigger the message again, it didn't happen again. :ermm: I'm thinking I need to uninstall and reinstall Steam again, but I really rather not do that--any suggestions?
