My friend doesn't really like joining forums just to ask oe thing, and asked for my help. Here's the deal. She has a legit Steam copy, and NukaWorld. Both had worked great (as great as any Bethesda game goes, lol) on her previous windows 10 machine. she hated windows 10, and sold off that machine and got a laptop with Windows 7 installed. It runs Skyrim and Fallout 3 and some newer games fine, but absolutely refuses to run on the new computer.

 

She told me she gets a message about Direct X 11 not being up to date but when she tries to update it, the update does not appear to work properly. It doesn't throw up errors, it just acts like it installed fine, but Fallout 4 still gripes that she doesn't have Directx 11. Reinstalling, running as admin, blah di blah don't work.

 

Here's the Dxdiag. i realize it might be "Her computer can't run it' but many times 'Can You run it?" tells me I can't run a game, but it's usually just a matter of having to run a game on potato setting. She's fine with that; she just wants to be able to play at at least 15-20 fps, and isn't worried about how pretty it is.

wtf kind of card even is that?

it's not listed as being a nvidia card within the past 10 years

it doesn't even have 1gig memory

 

and the only thing on google related to it is cpu's and laptops

 

 

basically your friend does not have a graphic card and what ever onboard thing that is it's 10 years or older not even listing on websites selling gpu's anymore that's why she can't play fallout 4

Methinks your friend should have done more research on the hardware before purchase.

 

A quick search shows the Asus N82JQ (model number in you specs report) does seem to not meet the hardware requirements for FO4 and I would think most other modern games.

 

It certainly fails on the minimum CPU and GPU requirements for F04.

 

EDIT: Another quick search indicates the GT 335M doesn't support DX11 which may explain the DX11 errors. Google is your friend :wink:

No...there is no "special mod" that will magically make the game run on a machine that doesn't meet the hardware specs.
