dubiousintent
Can you provide any more detail about the CTDs? Can you determine any situation in which you expect a CTD, or is it always random? Please see the "Windows Error Messages" section of the wiki "How to read most Bethesda game error logs" article. You might want to turn on NVSE logging as well and see if it reports any errors. Please see the 'Checklist item #4' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. You already been directed to the usual suspects for CTDs. Though it is possible some tweaks are not actually helpful on your system. (The reports about some NVSR settings are mixed, indicating they vary in effectiveness by system.) You might try disabling some one by one and see if they change anything. -Dubious-
skyrimguy14164
Well I'm using an 'bug free' version of nvsr provided in the the file attachment on the TTW performance siteas for the CTD the most recent one the game just froze and i had to turn it of using task manger under Background Process Oh and the chrashes are random this one I just turned around while walking and it CTD Edited July 7, 2017 by skyrimguy14164
dubiousintent
You have an I7 processor, so according to the TTW Performance guide you are following you should be running NVSE NVSR_4-1-36 and using Roy Batty's "newer processors" INI settings. Also check that you have V-Sync on your video card disabled. (This is just to confirm that guidance.) A CTD just because you turned around suggests an issue loading cells (possibly ones that had been purged from memory). If you had to use the Task Manager to kill the process, then it was hung waiting on a response from the system. Did you check the Windows Eventlog for any errors at that time? Had you done any "fast travel" just before that moment? Try to make note of what you had been doing just before a CTD. The steps leading up to one are usually a part of the problem. -Dubious-
skyrimguy14164
I was at the NCR prison I crafted something I turned around and i chrashed that's all I rememberThough it's not rare that i turn around and I crash normally is after a shootout or just random but only time some thing like this happens( the game runs in the background) is when I turn around the distinctive motion blur Edited July 12, 2017 by skyrimguy14164
dubiousintent
Are you by any chance using ENB or some other "post-processor", or custom shaders? If so, try disabling those and test again. Not clear what you mean by "only time some thing like this happens( the game runs in the background)"? If your character is turning around, then the game can't "be in the background" as far as the processor is concerned. The game is always halted when it is a "background process". OTOH, if you mean the game is still processing NPC AI activity in the "scene background", that's normal behavior and I'm not sure why you mention it. -Dubious-
skyrimguy14164
I'm not using ENB or ENB boost (becouse if I use ENB i get capped at 20 FPS and ENB bost makes my game look terrible)And by runs in the background I turn around the game freezes (if I have a radio on the game repeats the two words on the current song) I see the motion blur then the game runs in the background and it's completely frozen and I have to shut it down using task manager
dubiousintent
That's a classic example of the game "hanging" because it's not finding a valid instruction to execute, usually due to having exhausted it's available memory. ("Sounds" are separate processes that will often loop like that on a "hang".) I asked earlier about any "Windows Error Messages", but when you didn't respond I assumed you didn't find any. Please see the section 'Windows 8.1 and later with Secure Boot' in 'Installing Games on Windows Vista+' and make sure you don't have any of those errors. You might also look into the 'Issue: Swap/Page file size and CTDs' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. As you say you are using a 4GB and a "heap size" patch, that is the only remaining explanation why you are running out of virtual memory (barring a failing memory chip). The process of determining how much "commit limit" you need will also give you an idea if you are getting the intended access to more than 2GB of system memory. -Dubious- Edited July 13, 2017 by dubiousintent
