Deleted11272243User
Someone has any idea how to make npc's to go in alert mode when the player kills a member of it's faction hidden in sneak mode and with a suppressed weapon? For example being in sneak mode without being detected i killed in one shot with a silenced sniper rifle a legionary, and the one standing in front him watched him getting shot and didn't care. I noticed it only happens in this particular case and only with a silenced weapon.

Deleted11272243User
It doesn't seem to work, not even with a modless game, is it working for you?
dubiousintent
From your description it sounds like things are working as intended. You have target 1 standing behind target 2 (i.e...1.....2..You at some distance.)You shoot 1 and 2 doesn't notice. That should be the case with a silenced weapon. If you shoot 2 first, then 1 should notice the body drop, though not necessarily where the shot came from. Even then they might not notice if they don't happen to be looking in the correct direction at the time. (Low perception, for instance. Distance is also a factor in the detection formula.) There usually is some delay before they determine where you are, but they usually do start heading for you by the third shot if there is a group. Otherwise, not sure what you are expecting from a sneak and silenced weapon. (All of this assumes you are not using VATS.) -Dubious-
Deleted11272243User
Not really, the target was literally face to face with his ally, watches his friend's head explode and just stands there like a moron like nothing happened. From what i understand it's a vanilla problem with suppressed weapons and i was wondering if someone has any tip on how to solve it.
Mktavish
What you could do is run a script to place a marker at the dead body , and use this function ...http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=CreateDetectionEvent Let me know if you need some particulars on how to do that ? Deleted11272243User
I'am not much of a coder but i know some basics, if you could point me in the right direction that would be great, thank you! Will it work for every npc in the game and in this particular case?
dubiousintent
It's a game. It only approximates reality. Chalk it up to "shock". That is a very real reaction, especially without a sound component. In searching for alternatives, came across this in the "Enemy AI - Fear & Loathing" thread: Although I am not 100% sure I believe Gopher is using Puce Moose Tweak and Balance Center - Responsive Kill Reactions. This is a port of a Fallout 3 mod scripted by Schlangster (author of Project Nevada among other mods). Project Nevada - Rebalance contains an updated version called Experimental Detection AI in which I believe the NPCs are less likely to crowd around dead bodies. If someone hasn't come up with a better algorithm in 7 years, you'll have to work it out yourself. -Dubious-
Deleted11272243User
Actually the Enemy AI mod it's quite good and i got around to have a much smarter AI in my game, the problem comes only in the case depicted above. Puce mooses responsive kill reactions mod claims to fix this but for some reason doesn't seem to work.
dubiousintent
You ought to be interested in a new mod just released: "Enhanced NPC Awareness" by xQd. Has a video showing the difference between it and vanilla while attacking the Legion at Cottonwood Cove. The targets go into a "scatter and seek cover" phase, followed by a "find player", and then "search and investigate" phases. -Dubious-
