spud implements

howdy!

a while back, I believe in the Nonesuch or Forgotten Weapons conversion projects,

there were a few different slamfire implements

one of them, was a good old fashion "spud gun".

with a stummer attached, that 'semi-auto spud' is a fairly hilarious 22, 32ACP or 38.

exceedingly low rate of fire, but devastating in VATS. also doesn't show up in patdowns,

so is good for stealth builds.

Lil folks need implements that are ergonomic,

and as much fun as the Glastonderry Pocket Miracle or Noisy Cricket or "kolibri" are,

for an operator like "lil betsy", Minime, or NicKnack of the wasteland,

it'd be pretty fun to cruise around with a spud-implement.

----

I can no longer locate those mod parts packs, though I was wondering,

does anyone still have those Spud Implements,

or perhaps could mod and make a Spud Implement parts pack, preferably zeroed to the micro-pistol range?

It doesn't necessarily need to have the animations even,

that would be next-level awesome though, and I can provide some schematics for an overview of the animation.

it is essentially similar to the Lancaster shop slamfires or other zip-implements.

some hinge open like a ruger, and kick the case back a little to be retained.

the cutoff or interrupter prevents the magazine contents from flying out.

I can already thanks to Any Mod Any Weapon, make the implement fire the airgun stuff too, or make it a JunkJet or China-Lake.

It would be pretty hilarious with "any mod any fail" too,

I can write the fail ref, it would be punishingly unreliable in survival hehe.

excellent thank you neil,

request fulfilled, extra kudos to you.

I now have a 4 shot, slam-fire 'spud gun',

replete with proper animations, and rusted texture.

its a remodel and redo of the 'kolibri' really.

still, hilarious to see Sheng Kowalski pull a spud-gun on you if you steal stuff.

or, the whole class at Books Diamond City.

the damage is just right for ~40 per 22,

~78 for 38 and ~91 for 9mm (and 15dmg to player per round hehe, it bites).

the accuracy could stand to be lame-er, and the return to fire interval could be 7 seconds.

20 for the bb pellet base model is spot on!

7 rounds for 22,

5 for 38,

4 for 9 and 2 for 10mm

I think you got the accuracy profile just right though,

and its balanced so that, the derringers or glastonderry pocket miracle are still better options hehe.

I will leave the thread here, in case more spud-related requests spring up.

I'm thinking a proper 'spud-cannon' powered by nuka-cola might be related,

it fires a potato, and loads like the Junk Jet or China Lake, so you can fire junk, IED, or fatman shells.

and some custom magazines or sights for the spud-gun would be hilarious.

I'm thinking a real detonics special, with the attachable larger grip or recoil brace,

and a larger barrel with stummer.

a spud-gat/spud-spinner-reel might be interesting too;

that'd be a 'thumb turntable' for the mechanism.

I don't know why reels/gats are not more of a thing for the control groups on some implements...
