LucasKaneqd
I'm planning on a playthrough with much focus on settlements and construction, especially for the end game. Even ultimately a sort of commonwealth renaissance, within modding settlements reason. I've finished the main storyline before, but never played Nuka World, and I've heard there's a lot of conflict there with my idea, because you're supposed to raid Commonwealth settlements, hostile the minutemen, etc. How do you suggest I solve this? I have some ideas but they're not based on actual knowledge about how the NW story works, etc. So they may not be good at all. I've thought playing NW first, maybe give them empty settlements, then eventually turning on them? Using a mod to avoid raiding the Commonwealth altogether? Aligning against raiders in NW from the beginning? Thanks in advance.
Fonger
play nuka --- don't post any "flags" -- when Gage gives you his perk --- MASSACRE all the raiders then play as a good guy
TheGadget1945
There's a mod which allows you to play NW until Shank asks you to raid your Commonwealth settlements and you then have the option to refuse.I gave all the parks to the Operators and Red Rocket to the pack for a couple of weeks but then killed them all and left it to the Traders. Kodiak412
Here is what I have done. I played NW with the raider theme and used the mod that lets you skip raiding commonwealth settlements. This keeps the NW area as a raider haven with the traders still as slaves. I found this to be a nice mix of doing the right things in the commonwealth, but when you just fell like being bad heading to NW and acting crappy. This is a nice mix of good and bad, but keeping the bad in the one area and not spreading it all around. I also did a playthrough where I killed all the raider bosses and freed the slaves but NW felt a little empty by doing that. I like having this area as the raider land better. Then just leave for the commonwealth when you want to go back to a nicer playthrough. Good luck.

MightyZ0G
if you leave making settlements until after you do Nuka World, you can give the raiders empty settlements rather than killing settlers.

It's not a bad idea either, I thought of that at first. But I guess if I want to "get back" those settlements eventually I'd have to turn on the raiders and ultimately fight them in NW too. I'm guessing the raiders that I bring to the Commonwealth will be hostile to the minutemen, regular settlers and other neutrals such as traders? Don't I get hostility from the MM too if I give the raiders settlements? And would Preston want me to retake those settlements for the MM?. Anyway, thanks.
