jesterskull25
Was on Xbox, modding and had two files that were special vid.esp and another that was simliar name. They had a lot of data on them(they were taking alot of space.(equal to that of a dlc.) Does anyone know what these are?
chucksteel
They are from the mod "Videos of the Wasteland by Razorwire" it let you play the intro Specials movies on crafted TV's and on the Starlight Drive-in screen. It had two parts a master and the videos. It was taken down by Razorwire on Bethesda.net and on the Nexus. I don't know why but, It won't be coming back to XB1 from my understanding. Razorwire has given permission to others to re-host the PC version though. You can still use it on your XB1 and it's a good mod!
AGreatWeight
As Chucksteel said, it's from VotW. Razorwire has (for reasons known only to him) left the modding community, but has allowed Dertspovor06 to reupload it here on Nexus. I'm part of the small team that will be adding incremental improvements & updates to the mod over time; at the moment we're focused solely on the PC version, although we haven't ruled out reuploading it to Beth.net for Xbone users at some point in the future.... chucksteel
@AGreatWeight, That's good news! I use it on PC and had it for XB1 but, removed it when testing my mods to have a totally clean XB1 game. When I went back to look for it it was gone. I like to keep both of my games with the same or as close to the same mods and it would be nice to have VotW back at some point. AGreatWeight
At some point yeah, I'd like to reupload it; although the paltry 2gb mod limit is a major inconvenience (and the obvious reason why the majority of existing mods that added more content (holotape sets) didn't get ported unfortunately) for this kind of mods. chucksteel
Oh ya i totally understand. for me I had no issues with VotW's size because even on PC I never really pack my game with mods. I like to craft my game and, I think I've never had more then 50 mods at one time. It would be nice to see the Mod reserve raised to 5gb like Skyrim but, I don't expect that to ever happen. AGreatWeight
I'd have to agree with you; if the limit was going to be raised, it would have been done by now.
jesterskull25
So it's not possible for a lite version then? Or Just something that makes Television change randomly without crafting anything? Anything to make it smaller?(You don't even have to add all of them.) Anything to let Xbox users not be left out? AGreatWeight
I've considered various options (a lot of Xbone users asked me to 'seperate' each holotape from my Brainwashing mod, without realizing how much work would be involved in doing that) There really is no way to make the mod (or additional content for it) smaller than it is, without having to basically re-do a lot from scratch; and honestly, with the limited time I have, I'd rather be spending it making new mods (and increasing my modding abilities) sorry. The issue is the mod limit imposed by Microsoft (and why does SkyrimSE get 5gb, but Fallout4 still only has 2gb?)
