TheElderInfinity
I'm really not knowledgeable about 3d animation/rigging, at least in the technical sense, but the mod I'm working on will require at least a few. I've got a person who can ramie and rig 3d models, but I'm unsure if it's even possible, as there's apparently a big issue with making custom animations. I've been getting mixed signals from the threads describing this however; Some threads have given me the impression that it's entirely impossible to add or change any sort of animations in Skyrim, making the addition of new races or creatures using non-standard movement, or attack animations, others have given the impression that any animation that gets added MUST replace an existing one. I'm really not sure wha exactly this entails though; is it impossible to add a sneak movement animation to a creature or race that doesn't have one (for my purposes the werewolf), or is it jus impossible to create new skeletons/types of animations? (like say some sort of climb animation or something else hat doesn't exist in Skyrim.
6TemplaR9
There are behaviour files(animation database if I know correctly) which have "slots" for new animations, but they have not been released by Beth and without 'em we can just replace old animations. t55
I am not sure but as it stands this is what i understood, animations cant be added to existing races only replaced. But it i think if you create your own creature it supports all animations currently supported by all other creatures. Again im not sure but maybe with later hacks we will be able to edit animations. I think instant kills work differently and can be added thats probably why a lot confusion is created.
TheElderInfinity
So, let me get this straight: If we want to add a sneak animation, we are going to have to make a new werewolf race, change the scripts to reference that race instead of the current one, and recreate the entire werewolf skeleton and every single animation from scratch? Jesus Christ, DreamCodex is not going to like this. Edited February 20, 2012 by TheElderInfinity

6TemplaR9
It's a "probably yes"Since one could script in alternative sneaking with Script Dragon plug-in(not me I'm not a programmer) or use the walk/run animation for sneaking
TheElderInfinity
Well that sucks. Though honestly, the scripting side of this should be relatively easy, you just have to add coh to every reference to werewolfbeastrace in the game. 6TemplaR9
But there is also a possibility that you must wait until skse has more features

Lmaowell anyway, pertaining to what templar said, i just need to know how to import those behavior graphs and we should be good to go when taking the path of recreating the whole race
