Managed to break Skyrim...D'oh!

Everything was going swimmingly, 40+ hours of play, lots of mods installed, when suddenly last week, when I went into a player made home and tried to sit on a chair I instead stood near it for around 10 seconds, with the camera locked in place and couldn't move at all. After the time was up the camera reverted to where I had had it before trying to sit down and I moved slightly away from the chair, regaining control of my character. I thought nothing of this, believing it to be a fault with the player made home.

 

Today I went to a blacksmith for the first time in a while and tried to forge. Pressing E did nothing but lock my camera, make me draw my weapons and stick me to the spot. Now as I said, I have a lot of mods installed so I suspect it is somethign there that is the problem, however I aren't 100%. If anyone could give me any clues, even if it is just the types of mods that it may be, what may be causing the issue, that sort of thing it would be awesome.

I suggest uninstalling each mod one by one then testing your game, then after you test it, if the issue still happens, reinstall it then go on.

 

If the issue continues to happen then do the inverse. Uninstall all of your mods then reinstall them one by one until the issue reappears.

 

Overall I'd suggest starting with your player housing mod or any animation mods first and foremost.

 

If you're using NMM this is a simple issue, if not, however, it still isn't too difficult if you still have the .zip files each mod came in or the readme files as most of these have a folder structure to them that make it obvious where to install the mod files.

 

If you're using steam.. I.. can't help you there, I don't use steam for mods, just NMM, my apologies.
