Help replacing gatling laser backpack mesh

Hey all,

 

I have a mesh that I've exported to NIF in Blender using this method:

I'm trying to simply replace the existing backpack mesh for the gatling laser. I am not familiar enough with Nifskope to manage this on my own and I suspect that I may need to alter the mesh in order to be able to replace it.
