Robot Armor Retextures Needed

So far, I've only come across 3 mods that retexture the robot armor. One that does 2k and 4k versions of green or black, one that makes it all black, and one that made it look like Optimus Prime.

Where are the silver/clean metal or chrome retextures? Or gradient colors? Or even solid colors? The armor itself isn't that appealing as it is, and could really use some retexture work. lol.

indeed, it would be awesome to see some more options and remixes for that,

as its a 'more the merrier' deal for a lot of FO4 stuff,

the more options, the more customization we can have hehe.

 

maybe some pearlescent coatings, jet or high refractive obsidian,

rust patinas and real beat-up variant,

and of course, aurichalcum or chrome variants.

it looks good with the protectron armor disguise and with mix-n-match.

or with that 'devtac' armor helmet, or the lone wanderer style helmet.

 

maybe 'hewro kritties" or a vault-tec style?

maybe a 'rad' glow-in-the-dark style?

maybe... holographic armor hehe.

(that'd go well with blahblah's holo buckin' bronco)

 

I would have to recommend Dread74, and really hope they volunteer;

have you seen what they did for 'leather of the wasteland'?

wow was that cool. from the beatup and scuffed, to the ultra-sheen variants.

and they did metal rust patinas really well.

just point Dread74 at the unwrap for the mesh and let em go to town

(sorry dread, had to vouch for you hehe)

I think why folks have tried to steer clear of shiny stuff,

is, the lack of mirroring and mirrored surfaces and all.

a few modders are looking at how to do that, it's still a tricky one hehe.

Something like this? I'm working on it but it's slow and laborious, especially as there are higher priority mods I'm responsible for in other game communities. But eventually I should have all the bot parts done in various finishes (polished metal, chrome, gold and maybe some camo. Maybe)

I believe that's a shot from the author that made the gear 4k. Which is great and all, something I used for a while, but I like my gear to look clean and sleek.

 

That armor desperately needs new textures/colors/everything. I haven't checked to see if anyone has made any in months because I've been playing other games, but yeah.

But Starwaster, that robot looks freakin' awesome!!! I love it!! Great work. Looks like something I'd definitely be interested in if/when I pick up FO4 again.

ah crap I gotcha. Re-reading your post I see what you're talking about now. Maybe someday, later down the road I might be able to take a stab at the armor, after I finish the robots, but I'm not even sure when THAT will be finished because I'm also working on Kerbal mods that I'm behind on updating :ermm:
