Durai Posted February 21, 2012 Share Posted February 21, 2012 Okay so long story short, I'm almost ready to release my first mod but one thing is bugging the hell out of me: The image of my custom modeled greatsword won't appear in the inventory menu- it's not there. I believe its attributed to the creation kit not recognizing my 1stperson.nif of the model. Is there some way to get it to accept the 1stperson.nif in the creation kit/nifskope/3dsmax? Steps I've done: 1. Duplicated Daedric Greatsword in CK2. Given new ID without creating new form3. Used customgreatsword.nif for the World Object option4. Unable to select 1stperson.nif so I leave it at 'None' (choosing anything else gives it that weapon skin as the skin of my custom sword) nifs are named 'familysword.nif' and '1stpersonfamilysword.nif' Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! ghosu Posted February 21, 2012 Share Posted February 21, 2012 (edited) I'm not sure if i understand you right but when you want to add a new standalone weapon you normally need 4 forms: 1stpersonXXX = weapon on the characterXXX = displayed in inventory and when droppedRecipeWeaponXXX = properties for smithing the weaponTemperWeaponXXX = properties to improve the weapon For the whole process check out my tutorial in my signature, the 4th part is 'bout the CK. greetings Edited February 21, 2012 by ghosu Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
