Beccy
Ok, stepping up my game from my amatuer Oblivion modding days, i'm moving in on the world of textures and more fun things! Woop!. The downside to this wonderful marvel?, I've no idea what a BSA is or what to do with it, all i do know, is that this three lettered filetype is standing in my way!. When working on some personal updates on an existing mod i ran into the trouble of having most of their textures load in the CK as exclamation marks for me, someone explained that i'd need to upack a BSA directly into my data folder, but left it at that, and i was lost :(. From some minor research i've also (i think) discovered that these BSA files are the hiding place for all of bethesdas base textures and .nif models!, so i was hoping i could get some small hints and tips on how to open them to get to the wonderful, juicy insides! Thanks in advance not only for reading this far into my mad ramblings of a post, but also for any help you can offer!Beccy
SkjoldBjorn
Well download FOMM and use it's tools -> BSA browser feature, then choose what textures you want to extract :)
PopReference
I really like BSAopt. Very simple, straight forward, and well organized unpacker. Good for selecting specific files you want to get.
