11er33
Okay, okay, hear me out. You know how you reach a certain level in a certain skill, the guards will remark on it? Like "Go cast your fancy magic someplace else", or "don't suppose you'd enchant my sword, dull old thing can barely cut butter". Wouldn't it be neat if you could enter a dialogue with those guards and take their sword, enchant it, with like fortify one handed, or frost damage. Or "Is your armor made of... Dragon scales?! What wouldn't I do to Get my hands on a set of that". Then be like "Well I have an extra twelve hundred dragon bones. I'll make you a set". Then their dialogue would change to something like "This sword works better for me than it ever has before. "It's a fine day with you around". "This armor has saved my life. More than once. Thank you". Even though I'm playing a psycho berserker, I'd really like to pimp out the guards, and do favors for the thankless npcs we walk past everyday without a second thought. Shoutout to the skyrim guards.
jkruse05
This would actually be pretty cool. Give players an extra reason to use the blacksmithing skill, and in the process help protect city dwellers from those damn dragon and vampire attacks.
