Converted FO3 Companion Mod To NV TTW Help

I have already converted the companion mod I want over to TTW and it mostly works as it did with F03, but I have a few problems.

Number one is there is no "Companion Wheel" because the original mod came from FO3 not NV.

It is not my own Mod, but is favorite companion I've used for F03.. Original Author encourages you to use it else where and wants to see how people use it.

Don't direct me here

I read that tutorial and it includes the Companion Wheel but only because you are using NV as the base for creating your companion and you get a "Companion Wheel" by Default as it doesn't tell you how to set one up for a non NV Mod that already existed.

The Second problem I have is I don't have Voice or Lip Sync in my converted version of the Mod, the original has a Voice Folder that has to be copied into Data under the Sound folder and I have done this for NV but I don't get any sound for the Companion.

And I don't know what to change for NV to get the Voice or Lip Sync to work the Original Mod had both for Fallout 3.

Other than that the converted Mod works Fine just everything works through the Dialog instead of CW and no voice.

I am hoping maybe someone could help me figure out what to do I really want to use this companion with TTW. Please Help..

Edit:

I just got Voice and Lip Sync fixed and it works, I'm going test it some more make sure the quest to get her actually works, then will probably release it as is, everything works there just is no "Companion Wheel" all settings are handled through dialog same as for the original Mod.

Actually, as much as you said not to, I am going to refer you back to that tutorial for the companion wheel.

To make the companion wheel work, you need to use the specific dialog options and variables shown in that tutorial, as those are the options that the command wheel is expecting. Hopefully the original companion has enough dialog options that you can just copy the voice files to the dialog topics that you need.

In other words, if you already have a dialog option for the companion to follow you, you need to disable that conversation option and use the existing FollowersLetsGo topic instead. Similarly, if you have a wait option, you need to disable that and use FollowersWait instead. Using "SetPlayerTeammate 1" in the hiring script is enough make the command wheel appear whenever you talk to the NPC, but the command wheel options won't actually work unless you use the Followers topics like FollowersWait, FollowersLetsGo, FollowersTrade, and the various FollowersTactics options.

Make sure you have a line with "SetPlayerTeammate 0" when firing the companion so the command wheel will no longer show up when you talk to them.

The tutorial has the details of exactly which topics you need to use.

You will probably use whatever existing quest you have to hire the NPC (though you may need to tweak it a bit to get it working with FNV), just make sure that it has all of the things that the hiring script does in the tutorial so that the command wheel works and the NPC ignores friendly hits, etc.

Yes, Thank you, I did missed some stuff there because I just skipped through it.

However the companion works fine and actually has the "Companion Wheel" once you complete the quest to get her, only the "Talk To" command is the only one that seems to work as all settings are handled through her Dialog as for the original mod.

The problem is the Script that is used for it wasn't made by me, and I don't really know what all the Script Does "so I can't change it".

I released the converted version already, it works as intended and if you fire her you can talk to her and the 'Companion Wheel" doesn't show up until after you rehire her.

I am going go back through that Tutorial and try to create my own companion see how that goes and maybe I'll learn something that will help me, but I still don't know if I can do anything else for the converted mod.
