Game Crash - Whiterun Blacksmith sales menu

I've tried to trouble shoot this on my own but I've not had any luck. Every time I go into the sales dialogue with Adriene Avenicci I can sell and purchase from every category but misc. As soon as I move from the first entry either with the mouse or down arrow on the keyboard I get and immediate CTD. I have made purchases from other vendors. Other than texture mods I really don't have any modes that effect the menu or the items that would be under the misc menu. I have disabled all texture mods for those items and it still is not working.

Two things:

 

1st - The P.I.T.A. method: Did you turn OFF all mods ( DLC's are not mods ) and does this happen?

. o O ( you will likely have to start a new game to find out ... as Skyrim SE is a bit picky when you turn OFF too many DLC's )

 

2nd - I noticed you have A LOT of * Weapon & * Armor mods.

... Point 1: Do you really use and need all of those?

... Point 2: Are some maybe having a Load Order Issue and/or Conflict with other mods?

I've had an identical issue, but with using the Blacksmith Forge and its menus. I was fine with most items until I went into the "Steel" menu, scrolled down and hit and instant CTD. The culprit was a modded steel armour set that had a broken mesh file. The moment the game tried to load the picture of that item - instant CTD.

Game didn't even stop to wave goodbye.

Resolved it by reloading the offending modded armour, and re-running NIF Optimiser over the files in that mod.
