none of the 20 mods i installed are working! could it be that i am not registered to stream? or is it something else?

If you are not registered on Steam, that means you don't have a legally obtained copy of the game as

Steam is the only way to activate Skyrim in a legitimate way.

Banned for piracy. http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/pirate.gif

What do you mean by, "Not registered to Steam"? From where do you get your mods?

or if any of your mods happen to retexture any items ingame and you happen to have the Official Hi-Res texture pack

How to use the new Official Hi-Res texture pack with user created mods:

1. Disable esps that came with the official texture pack From the Luncher

2. Backup files before editing.

Open

SteamApps\Common\Skyrim\Skyrim_default.ini

or

C:\Program Files (x86)\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim\Skyrim_default.ini

&

Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Skyrim.ini

3. Change this in both files:

[Archive]

sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa

To this:

[Archive]

sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa

4. Save both files.

Now user created mods will be able to override what they need to override in the official texture pack.

you're not registered to Stream? you mean Steam?

let me explain this for you:

you haven't read the rules and you just admited that you pirated Skyrim, if a staff member sees your topic he or she WILL ban you.

it's a shame you will get banned because you only joined up yesterday, i hope you understanded what i said, good day to you sir. i won't be seeing you in this site at the future.
