Game Crashes on Title Screen

I just downloaded this game on steam, so it has all the DLC, and since I've played through it many times, decided to try some mods. I'll add a list of the ones I have installed at the end of this post. I start the game through Nexus Mod Manager, hit play and wait through the loading screens. If I hit any key on the keyboard to skip the loading scenes, the game crashes. If I let it load to the menu screen and then hit a key, the game crashes. Nothing happens if I just wait. Having been a while since I played, I'm not exactly sure what should be on the main menu screen or if something is supposed to happen before I get to that screen. Any help is greatly appreciated! The mods I installed are as follows:

NVAC

Yukichigai Unofficial Patch

Bad Mothaf*#@a

Russell

Interior Lighting Overhaul

More Perks

More Perks - More Traits

Nevada Skies

Perk Every Level

Project Nevada

Project Nevada DLC Support

Project Nevada EVE Support

Project Nevada WMX Support

WMX

WMX Modern Weapons

WMX Weapon Retexture Project

WMX-DLC

WMX-EVE

King of the Ring

The Someguy Series

EVE

NMCs Texture Pack

Wasteland Flora Overhaul

New Vegas Bounties 1

New Vegas Bounties 2

New Vegas Boutnies 3

New Vegas Killer

The Better Angels

The Inheritance

MTUI

UIO

Weapon Retexture Project

I have NVSE installed as well as having downloaded and transferred the files for FNV 4GB. When I went to test that was when I realized the game was crashing. Thinking it was the 4GB pack, I deleted the files but the game still won't play. Do any of these mods have known issues with one another? This is my first time modding a game so I tried to follow all instructions on the mod pages and looked up videos for any questions I had. I have attached a pic of the menu screen which is as far as the game loads. Thank you for your time and help!

EDIT: I realized I didn't install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable that one mod recommended. Now the game doesn't crash when I hit a key but it's still stuck on that one screen. I also had trouble exiting the game and had to mash Alt+F4 to get back to the desktop.

This is not a GECK issue. The GECK sub-forum is for people trying to create mods and having issues with the GECK itself. You should PM a moderator to move it to the "Technical Support" sub-forum where it belongs. Different sub-forums get different eyeballs.

Please see the the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. It covers a lot of things you need to understand when installing and using mods. In particular, you need the mods listed as "essential" in the "Towards Game Stability" section of that article.

Your list of mods in not in "load order", so it doesn't really help us. See the "Essentials for Getting Started" section as well. A poorly sorted "load order" will cause the problems you are experiencing. Please provide the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I didn't realize I was in the wrong sub-forum, I chose one that had something to do with mods. I'm reading through the mod use article you posted and learning that this isn't as straightforward or easy as I was anticipating. If you wouldn't mind answering just one more question for me please. The article suggests making the game "playable" before installing another mod, making sure to test the game before installing another one. Does this mean I should have some in-game hours before installing any mods? What about mods that aren't readily apparent such as new questlines. How will I know if they are working if I haven't reached that point in the game? I will be in contact with a moderator to move this to the appropriate forum

YES Verify the game works ... and you can still start over when you get it all running smooth.

As for mods that add content for later game ... well ya you should just know that you can't test it yet ... sounds like you know that.

When getting set up, ignore quest lines for the moment. What you want to test are that the basic vanilla game functionality remains even after you add a mod. Use the console to toggle on "god mode" ("~" is the default console key; command "TGM"), and run around so you at least change "exterior" cells (there will be a slight lag if you are running when you cross a cell boundary), kill a monster or two, enter an "interior" cell (use a "door"), do something the mod is supposed to change in the game.

"Quests" just take you from one plot point to another. In and of themselves they usually won't break your game if they have a reasonable number of endorsements. It's always worth checking out the comments on a mod's download page to see what issues players have reported.

It's a good practice to keep a save game from just after you leave Doc Mitchell's house with a new character; especially one before you add any other mods. Then you can use it to test a new mod and know that other mods won't be conflicting with it. Then you can test it with a later modded save game playthru if that's what you want.
